Riad Palais D'Or

This Riad is so central to the souks. Literally around the corner you have the fabulous markets, you are right in the old medina. If you want authentic and central as possible then this is the Riad for you. You literally turn the corner by the little creche and you are onto the markets /Souks. It's unbelievably close which was amazing for us. At first you are up an alley and see a little door in the wall and when opened you're into a paradise or haven. The young man Issa greeting guests was so friendly, he even communicates via WhatsApp if you want help with anything, the lady that cleans the riad was so lovely, she even ran to get us fresh towels and toilet roll, she was so lovely. The rooms are well cleaned. The riad may be old fashioned but that's the point. Authentic Moroccon Riads built in the old medina are old and historical. This Riad was super quiet when we stayed and the security cameras give a sense of safety the minute you enter it's doors. The bedding was clean, the toilets were clean, the towels were fresh. That's all we needed or wanted. If you're looking for a place to just lay your head down at night then this Riad will definitely suit you. We enjoyed the authenticity, the friendliness and the safety. What we enjoyed most about the Riad was waking up every morning and opening our windows out on to the beautiful courtyard of the Riad. It's a lovely place to stay and the photos are exactly like the ones advertised so don't be worried. It's a great little place to stay if you're on a budget and looking for authenticity. Clean and the lovely young man Issa will help you if you've any issues.

The only thing, and I'm sure it's not the Riad's fault is the smell of sewerage is super strong. It is prevalent in the old medina in Rabat. The Riad's use old plumbing systems that probably can't keep up with the modern flow of the city so the gases rise up. It's so strong so recommended that you keep toilet lid down and a towel in the sink at night to keep gasses from escaping. If you have mobility issues you will have to climb narrow steps to the upper bedrooms. There's no real complaints to be honest. It was a good experience and I'd stay again. Just be warned the sewerage gases are strong in Rabat but also down at the sea front it's bad too so I'd say it's a city wide problem.

Le persone che ci hanno accolto sono state molto gentili. La posizione è ottima per visitare la medina. Letti comodi, posizione perfetta, è in mezzo alla medina, ma se vuoi andare a riposare è completamente isolata dai rumori delle vie molto vive fino a tarda notte. Perfetto. Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo

Non posso dire nulla di negativo. Partivano la sera e ci hanno custodito i bagagli fino alla partenza. Tutto bene

La ubicación es perfecta para ir a Sale, a la torre Hasam y visitar la Médica, queda cerca para coger bus o tren vía. Las habitaciones son amplias y frescas y sobre todo el desayuno es espectacular, recomiendo pagarlo en el Riad, que buscar por fuera.

No había aire acondicionado pero a pesar de ser verano, la habitación es fresca y no se necesita aire acondicionado. La cama doble es super amplia y cómoda.
