YVES Marrakech

The riad is completely renovated, very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and nice, they couldn't be better!

the riad is located at the old town (inside the medina) you must walk 5m on foot, a car can't reached. Sometimes we felt a sewage smell, coming from de bathroom. Both situations are very normal in Marrakech

The staff was kind

I arrived to the Riad after 1 AM, tired and ready to go to sleep in a comfortable room. They see has not been turned on so the room was very hot and worse, very smelly. It was bad enough that I could not sleep awake even with the windows open, and I grabbed a fan that was outside my room that was halfway broken, but it was better than nothing. The rugs on the floor were filthy. And the floor was covered with different debris. The room had several things that did not function properly. Miserable night ended up checking out of the hotel as soon as I could in the morning and book myself somewhere else. So I was truly there for less than 12 hours, I paid for four nights and only got refunded one.

Modern and stylish riyad, very friendly staff, good breakfast, comfortable room. We stayed here twice, first 2 night we had a room on the ground floor, then after a short trip to Essaouira we returned to the same hotel and had a room on the second floor. The room downstairs had a bigger bathroom with shower and bath tub, the one upstairs had only shower, but was bigger and at night we could leave the windows open, while on the ground floor we preferred to lock our door. So both rooms have their own advantages.

The problem with the smell from the old sewage system seems to be common for the whole city, so it I guess it is unavoidable elsewhere. We were glad that we didn’t choose a riyad where the bathroom had no door, otherwise the smell would have been intolerable. At Yves we kept the door to the bathroom closed and it was ok.

Staff was super friendly and pleasant, room was nice and bed was super comfy.

This riad was absolutely beautiful. A little hidden gem. It was clean, stylish and comfortable. The location was great, only a short walk from the souks . The breakfast was gorgeous and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating.
