YVES Marrakech

Wat mij het meest beviel aan mijn verblijf in deze riad was zonder twijfel het personeel. Ze waren stuk voor stuk vriendelijk, gastvrij en altijd bereid om te helpen. Ook de hygiëne in de kamers en gemeenschappelijke ruimtes was prima in orde. Schoon en verzorgd. De riad ligt in een beveiligd deel van de stad, wat in alle drukte van Marrakech echt voor een prettig en veilig gevoel zorgde. Je kunt er met een gerust hart tot rust komen na een dag in de medina.

Er waren echter ook een paar punten die minder prettig waren. De badkamer had alleen een regendouche, wat op zich prima is, maar de afvoer kon het water niet goed verwerken. De put liep telkens vol, waardoor je óf tussendoor de kraan moest uitzetten óf moest wachten voordat iemand anders kon douchen. Dat was jammer en soms onhandig. Verder was het ontbijt elke dag exact hetzelfde. Iets meer variatie had het verblijf echt aangenamer kunnen maken. Tot slot waren er behoorlijk wat katten in de buurt. Hoewel dat misschien bij de sfeer van de medina hoort, zorgde het soms voor overlast, met name vanwege de kattenpoep rondom en op het terras van het verblijf.

Excellent communication,you can count on them late at night,early morning. They will do anything to make your stay very enjoyable .I highly recommend them .Beautiful roof top for breakfast.

Very good and safe location

I came back to this riad after an unforgettable first stay in April, and once again, we felt completely at home. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us like family. They knew it was my birthday not that long ago and they decorated my room with balloons and flowers. I didn’t think our first experience could be topped — but they did it! All the staff, but specially Zakaria and Soulayman, who have earned a special place in my heart, made our stay truly exceptional with their kindness, attentiveness, and warm hospitality. On the other hand, the rooms are the perfect size, always clean and the bed is very comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared. Every detail was perfect. I’ve never met anyone like them who work with their pure intentions to make you feel as happy and comfortable as they can. Thank you for making us feel so special!

Yves Marrakech is ideal for short (1-2 day) stays: a clean, quaint, 4-room, Moroccan bed and breakfast riad (traditional Moroccan structure built around a central courtyard) with all of the necessary amenities (running water, air conditioning, comfortable bedding, Wi-Fi, TV etc) situated in the Medina / old town in Marrakech. The team of Zakaria and Solaiman at the reception is kind and helpful and will do everything in their power to make your stay comfortable. I appreciated their professionalism, close attention to detail, and their around-the-clock support. You should know that, like many other properties in the Medina, this property is not located on the main road - one has to negotiate the small alleyways for 5 minutes by foot although you will be met by a member of the reception team on arrival. Even though the neighbourhood seemed and felt secure, the location made me re-schedule some of the activities I had pre-booked that either had a very early start or a late finish simply because I was traveling solo. I stayed in chambre no.4, which was spacious and appeared to me just as displayed on Expedia.com. However, there seemed to be a slight plumbing and ventilation issue in the room in terms of the smell of raw sewage that would waft into or settle in the room at times. It also felt like the air conditioning was inadequate for the space at times, so I also requested a fan for the room, which I was provided with promptly.

The property was beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and peacful. It has modern conviences and artistic design in one of the nicer historic areas. They even had a well written, complete handbook containing great information about the hotel amenities, nearby food and entertainment, available activities and other interesting and useful information. The staff was great and accodating.
