The staff, especially Ayoub was amazing. Main plus point went above and beyond.

The rooms with the stairs had really small ceilings so would often bang our heads. The bathroom wasn’t the best and the rooftop had dirty sun lounges.

Gorgeous riad in an excellent location. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Ayoub. I would definitely stay here again.

The location. The riad is also tastefully decorated, I love the African explorer theme.

The breakfast experience was chaotic and poorly managed. There was no sense of timing, and it was served on an open rooftop during very cold mornings. The buffet consisted of small, uncovered portions of food, which attracted birds that pecked at it. The food itself was poorly prepared: the omelets were badly cooked, the cheese was chopped into a million tiny pieces, and the pancakes were cold. There were no dedicated chefs; instead, the maintenance man doubled as the receptionist and the chef, reminiscent of a scene from Fawlty Towers. When we asked if we could take the food to our rooms to escape the cold, we were told it wasn’t allowed. The lighting in the room was very dim, and there were no bins or water provided. Although the Riyad claims to accommodate families of five in its large family rooms, the additional beds are on a mezzanine level with a ceiling only about a metre high. You can barely lie down on the very low beds, and you need to be careful when sitting up to avoid hitting your head! The rooftop had no relaxed seating apart from two loungers, which were very dirty. The claims of panoramic views from the top terrace are comical, as there are none to speak of—just a view of surrounding building sites. Additionally, the level of noise from the neighboring rooms kept us up during the night, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The pictures online were quite deceiving, as they gave a much more luxurious impression. When we requested the pit fire, we were disappointed to find only two measly logs kindled, which barely lasted. It sad that the pictures and reviews are so deceiving, which led us to book this place.

Amazing hospitality at Road Explore. Ayoub went out of his way preparing breakfast as well as preparing and bagging them for our early morning departure out of Marrakech.

We only stayed here for a night. We had the quadruple room. However the space felt very small and we were bumping into one another. Overall value for the money we spent was really good. However I feel there are other riads with bigger spaces that might be better options.

It was exactly what we needed! Perfect location, safe, in amongst the hussle and bussle of the day, but quiet at night. We were only able to enjoy the delicious breakfast one of the 3 days because we were leaving for daytrips before they served breakfast, but it was delicious. Really nice staff, very helpful and we were able to leave our suitcases for the day after checking out ( we had a 6:40 pm flight). I would highly recommend!
