I stayed at Borneotel while the location is great and the room spacious, the cleanliness was a major letdown. I was greeted with a toilet seat that had urine drips and a filthy toilet bowl, plus dirty mop marks on the floor and stained bedsheets. Although the staff was very responsive and cleaned the toilet immediately, making it look spotless, the fact that it wasn't cleaned thoroughly before check-in spoiled my mood for the entire stay. It's a pity, because this hotel has real potential if they take hygiene more seriously.
