The room is beautifully done, spacious and comfortable. The location is excellent. Breakfast in a nearby cafe is fine, but not worth it.

Getting into the apartment is a very involved process. The last thing anyone needs after a long trip is to go through a whole lot of instructions how to get into the building, to stumble their way through a dark hall, to get into the slowest elevator, then into an apartment with shared spaces not being sure what is at their disposal and what isn't. Yes, we appreciated the availability of an elevator, but guests should be informed that it takes over two minutes to get three floors up, so they don't worry whether they are stuck. Upon entry there is a motion sensor for the lights, but only for the ones in the very entrance. Then, expecting all lights to be motion sensor operated, you stumble your way into darkness, not knowing that you have to find the switch on the wall. I know that the staff made informative videos and sent a lot of instructions and I know that this is not a hotel so no such level of service is expected. However, an old building with quirks is not as suitable for self check-in as a modern one, so having a staff member meet guests upon arrival could go a long way towards making things easier. Overall I still gave the property a high rating because it deserves it, I hope that these small issues can be addressed.

Lovely room! Great location! Only recommendation is to get a shower head and curtain. I stayed in the summer room and had no idea how to shower without making a mess.

Great location and very comfortable! The breakfast voucher was to an amazing place and Katia was so helpful! She even called a cab for us the morning we left! We wished we were there longer. 😊

The location was very convenient and they provided instructions made the extremely cumbersome check in process easier. They were very responsive to text and phone calls. (Do not stay here if you are not able to text and call in Italy!!)

Check in and out was as stated, cumbersome. The huge flight of stairs to reach the elevator was not mentioned so I will here. While absolutely not a problem, it’s not advertised so if it would cause a problem for you, stay elsewhere. There is a video they send with instructions on the numerous keys (real metal ones with colored plastic on each) you must use and the color codes for them. They are in a combination lockbox at the bottom of the stairs. This wasn’t a problem for us either. We followed the instructions and enjoyed the novelty of something new. The problem came from the management after our checkout. I received texts saying I took the keys with me. I had not taken the keys or forgotten to put them back in the lock box as instructed. But they persisted that I lost or kept the keys. I repeated all of their instructions back to them as I recounted my steps. And they still persisted. I thought I was going to have to take a train up there to deal with the situation but they finally found them. The next traveler couldn’t follow the instructions and was looking in the wrong place. If you run a hotel (which this IS no matter what they claim advertise or believe) someone should be on site. This is even MORE necessary when physical things like keys are involved. A front desk person or attendant could have stopped them from accusing me and delaying the next guest arrival. I will go back to Sienna but I will find a new less complicated customer more customer friendly spot.

Breakfast vouchers were provided for the cafe around the corner, which was lovely. Amazing views from the apartment window as well as the porch off the common area. Very conveniently located inside the old city with easy access to the historic tourist areas.

Complicated to get to the apartment. Requires parking outside of the old walls, getting a ride to the apartment, and several keys. Walkup is 100 steps and elevator is slow. Not for people with mobility challenges.

Great location, comfortable bed, great bathroom, and lovely host. She was so accommodating! We got a free breakfast at a local cafe, which was very delicious.

You have to haul your luggage up a long flight of stairs before you reach the elevator. It’s a very old building, but the views from your room are amazing.

The room was very comfortable and in a great location. There was no view to speak of but we weren't in the room that much anyway. The host was very very helpful. My only negative comment was the stairs to reach the elevator. There were many many stairs and while there was a lift, it didn't seem to be a very good option. However, overall the room was great.
