1521 Hotel & Spa

The bathroom was nice but the shower was open and had no door or curtain. The water pressure was excellent and the hot water worked well in the shower. I didn't like that I was emailed the swimming pool was closed after I booked 2 rooms for 3 nights and the pool reopened the day after I left. They offer an airport shuttle but it's not free. There is not much area to sit outside; the lobby is very small. I did like that the front lobby had nice fresh air coming in from outside. The coffee machine's power cord was too short and we had to move it to the desk to plug it in. They needed an extra outlet; I had to unplug the TV to plug in my personal laptop because the other outlet had a different type of plug. The nightstand clock in my room was broken. The AC was very good and adjustable. The beds were cleaning and comfortable. The cleaning people should automatically replace the towels and tissue in the bathroom during the day without the customer having to request it.

Was there for eight days, and no change in bedding despite being told they would every three days.

I absolutely loved this hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean, quiet and air conditioned. There is a pool, spa & restaurant in the hotel. I booked this for a day I knew I did not want to leave my hotel, and I didn’t have to! The food was amazing, the staff were all very helpful and kind, and my massage was very impressive. Would stay again!

Very happy over all

The hotel is very well planned to isolate you from the busy street in front of the building. The rooms face a central space with the pool and outside noise is difficult to hear. The restaurant is great with good food and incredibly nice staff. The "beach" property owned by the hotel is a great place to spend the day. The pool, lawns, cabanas, cafe area and staff make it feel really luxurious. There really isn't a beach. There is a boat ramp into the ocean, if you want walk down it and go for a swim in very calm and shallow water. We enjoyed swimming in both the ocean and the pool! A shuttle bus runs back and forth throughout the day and is very accommodating of your schedule. The massage spa on the top floor is one of the best features of the hotel. The therapists do a great job and are very nice. Overall, it's a wonderful place and we'll definitely be back!
