Oslob Whale Shark Resort

The resort was very pleasant. During our stay, it seemed as if we booked the entire resort for ourselves due to the place being peaceful and delightful. The front desk was quick in assisting us to book our whale shark watching session, the breakfast was superb (thanks to the cook and to the staff that served us). The staff is courteous, helpful, and accommodating.

This doesn't seem like a big deal, but the main door was locked from the inside. So we had to ring the doorbell every time we had to enter and wait for someone to open the door, which was very often considering that we were out explorong Oslob. We just didn't want to inconvenience any one but we understand how they prioritize security.

A bit basic overall and limited beach front.

It is located on the beach, beautiful serene surrounds. The bedsheets are high quality, staff is attentive to your needs restaurant serves excellent food Bus from Oslob to Cebu passes in front , so you can stop and hop on.

They should provide a shuttle to the activities center, which is 15-20 min away. They can arrange a tricycle which would charge 500 peso, if you get your own tricycle off the street, it is only 50-100 peso.

Perfect for a short stay to see whale sharks. Very good value and the staff were very helpful, booking local trips. Great place to meet fellow travellers.

Couldn't really fault anything

The room was much larger and much nicer than on the photos. It is right on the sea so you hear the waves which I love. The staff is wonderful. Even though we reached late afternoon they managed to arrange tickets for the next morning whale shark swimming. They staff was super friendly.

The shower was as in many places luke warm. It would be nice if the hotels on the stretch made efforts to get the nearby sweet stray dogs sterilised. It is part of social responsibility to take care of the environment. Not by chasing them away but by creating a win-win for humans and strays.

I booked the Whale Shark resort thinking it was close to the actual whale shark experience which obviously not as it's about 30minutes away resulting us waking up early to queue up after having had a long and tiring day. The resort itself has amazing view and clean.

The food and drinks at breakfast were a bit slow to arrive, and we had to follow up twice on our order. It was a bit inconvenient that dinner was cash only when we arrived at night. As an overseas traveller, I would have preferred the option to pay by card.
