All good, room clean, nice place to stay

I was not fully happy with the babyribs and the fries

This Resort is Family owned and developed with Thought and Welcoming = as soon as You Drive onto This Rightly Named "" Hideaway "" with Great Pool and Restaurant Facilities. Locally Employed Staff Who are always on hand to help with anything from blowing up a non swimming child pool aid because we had forgotten the air pump --- to helping without any edge with a calamity at Our Dining Table due to a boisterous and tired 2 year old after our car journey --- The Staff just on the scene in seconds calming the situation down --- All with No fuss, no embarrassment, all throughout with smiles and useful help without anyone else (guests) seemingly noticing ---- most families go through some stages of child(ren) tired tantrums but here it was played down and then an enjoyable mealtime with some great choices of food from a varied menu . The pool is a good size with again well thought out shape and children play depths to adult depths--- plus an enormous Sun Shade covering a good portion of the Pool --- again another thoughtful idea where kids are able to play for long periods without fear of Sun Burn . The Individual Designs of the Bed Rooms are well thought out with a cottage style arrangement eating area on the ground floor facing the pool where You can watch the kids and be comfortable at the same time --- plus catering choices delivered from the restaurant --- Again No Fuss --- just Simply Great Service --- I have holidayed in the area and whilst others --- Mainly business men --- have ''tried'' to emulate this ""Hideaway"" --- I Will Certainly Plan A Return Visit to Bakawan Hideaway Resort . A Family Concern Who Care and offer many aspects of Great Service that makes a difference to overall enjoyment and at the same time getting value for money and enjoying a great holiday break. Quiet, clean, helpful staff, great pool.

During a 7 hour brownout (11.00pm until 6.00 am), the resort generator was running. It was so noisy we had absolutely no sleep all night and morning, and I really do mean no sleep, just for information we stayed in room 1. In addition there was lots of ants.

The food and the overwhelmingly good hoslitality

The size of the rooms and the inadequacy of the air-conditioning

The owners of the place are very friendly and make sure every moment that everything is fine and nothing is missing. The staff are great and very friendly too. I am sure I will stay there again in my next visit to Soutern Leyte.

Box type air conditioner in room. Too noisy at night.
