Fantastic guesthouse with friendly staff. Quiet area on the hill and a bit away from city centre.

The room was fairly clean. When we arrived, it was fortunate that there were other guests who opened the gate for us. Otherwise, we would have been stuck waiting indefinitely. Initially, we were given a room that wasn’t the one we had booked, but later the manager (who only speaks a few words of English) arrived and sorted it out. The breakfast was terrible. We requested it at 7 a.m. but didn’t receive it until 8 a.m. The breakfast consisted of just two eggs and a piece of bread. This isn’t our first time booking accommodation in Sri Lanka for $20, but this was the first time we experienced such poor service. I understand that the manager is trying his best, and I do feel sorry for him, but the services provided were far from satisfactory. Later, for some reason, the manager asked to photograph our passport. I don’t understand why, especially since we booked through Booking.com. There was no Wi-Fi either.

Tidy little place with very helpful caretaker.

First of all I really like the service provided by the caretaker. A friendly, honest looking person (Mr.Kithsiri), helped me with the arrangements and showed me the sceneries well. And the overall place is quite nice. Top of a mountain 🏔️ and nice view on night as well.
