Riad Celema & Spa

We had an incredible stay at Riad Celema. Farah, Samir and Fatteh were so kind and attentive. The room was gorgeous with a nice bathroom and air conditioning. The Riad was so quiet and peaceful despite being a 5 minute walk from the busy main square. Breakfast was served as soon as we woke up and had a great selection. We were also greeted with tea on arrival which was so welcoming. Thanks so much for a lovely stay - will definitely be returning. <3

The property is a true gem close to all the action and sights that you want to see in Marrakech!

You will walk a lot since you can’t drive in the old part of town however that’s also the cool part of the experience and Samir was able to show me exactly how to get to the property from the main square.

Absolutely terrible

First and foremost not a safe area. Between possibly catching a disease and definitely getting hit by motorists would not recommend even considering this location. Very smelly and dirty. Now as for the Riad itself, also terrible. First night there we had no A/C even though it was advertised there was. The owner Lila didn’t do anything about the A/C problem or offer another room. The beds were absolutely rock hard. Between the beds and no air almost considered sleeping on the tile floor for the evening. Breakfast; equally terrible. Bread was stale and rock hard and that’s all breakfast was. Rock hard bread, stale pastries, jelly, and honey with flys flying all around us. After having to book another room at a different Air bnb the owner made us pay daily tax for the total trip even though we checked out on the next day. Refused to offer ANY kind of refund. Then proceeded to raise their voice and argue with us about wanting to leave. She even went as far as to involve other guests that were staying at the riad in her argument with us about leaving. Would not come back in a million years. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this location.

Many things, but primarily no AC in the room. Imagine being able to stay in the desert with no AC. The owner did not attempt to offer another room, nor bring an AC specialist the first day. Breakfast was horrible. We decided to leave the 2nd day as we couldn't sleep another night with no AC. The owner refused to refund us any money, on top of that demanded city tax to be paid for 5 nights which is ridiculous. The neighborhood is very very poor, dangerous and smelly. Cannot walk around in peace as hundreds of people drive past you with their little bikes and nearly got hit many times.If you're going to book a riad make sure it's not in the Medina area. -100/10 for the area as well as the owner and property.

Absolutely beautiful Riad. Spotlessly clean. Very attentive staff,couldn’t do enough for you. The breakfast was delicious and we also had food cooked for us one night which was excellent! The location is in the centre of the medina but away from the hustle and bustle. We will certainly return.

A beautiful riad in a great location of the medina. The property is very clean and well designed with an amazing roof terrace where you can relax by the pool or in the spa as they also provide massage treatments and hamam. We had a little tour of the property and each room is just beautiful. Not to mention the kindness we received by all members of staff. They were all amazing and made sure we felt comfortable every moment of our stay. Highly recommended!!!!!

I've just finished a stay at Riad Celema for 3-nights. After doing some research, we decided to book this one and re so happy we did. My partner and I had a lovely stay for our first time in Marrakech and in Morocco. The riad and the room were clean and beautifully decorated. The staff were all very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We looked forward to breakfast on the rooftop every morning and found the riad to be a peaceful oasis, although just a short walk from all the action in the Medina. I would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Riad Celema & Spa. I liked the comfort of the room, the atmosphere, the spacious indoor and outdoor public areas nicely decorated, the good service and the very polite and friendly staff.

We think that the breakfast can be improved, I missed the fruit, yogurt, cereals and also cheese, maybe instead of some of the sweets (like cakes and jams).

The host Samir was top, the location was super close to all the attractions, can’t speak highly enough of the people at the riad.
