Taru Villas Villu - Wilpattu

What an amazing place. Quiet, peaceful with fabulous staff who are professional and kind in equal measure. The pool area is lovely and kayaking through the adjoining river in the late afternoon, when its mill pond still and cooler, to catch the sunset is a real treat. The flora and fauna will also amaze you not to mention the Safari! Highly recommended place.

Amazing service and great attention to details. The local food options are very good, international food is ok and can be improved. Strongly recommended if you want a safari in Wilpattu.

This is an outstanding new hotel in a beautiful non tourist area. The staff and food are stunning and the rooms are beautiful. Highly recommend.

Tatum Villas Villa is a beautiful new lodge, 5-stars for a reason. The staff are all lovely and extremely eager to please; rooms spacious, gorgeous, and private; and food very good. My only quibble was that rains had flooded the road into the nearby entrance of the Wilpattu park, so doing a safari drive involves a 1.5 hr ride to the eastern park entrance, which kind of defeats the purpose of staying on the quieter western edge. Still a beautiful place to stay, though.

Amazing place to stay as like us you looking to back to the origine where nature and clean environment is the main attraction. The small luxury hotel is extremely well organized and the bungalows distributed on the property in beautifull way with gardens, trees and front lake! We booked a bungalow with pool and it was amazing, super large, comfortable bed, living room, bathroom extra size!!! The Staff was amazing from Marc that received us and take care all the time, Gaya, Jewewan and Chef Swadth just to mentions the more closer to us in these days but all were super kind. We had a fantastic dinner for San Valentine that will remain in our memories forever. They arrange for us the visit to the Park and follow us there. All was over any best expectations and is HIGLY reccomended place to go to have unforgettable moments!!

This is quite simply an exceptional hotel, made so not only by our beautiful room and the surroundings, but by Mark and the team of people who made our stay so special. This is one we will always remember for being unique and idylic. Our kayak on the lake with Ravi was fantastic and Ravi's knowledge about the wildlife was exceptional. The whole team were there at 4.30am to ensure we had everything we could possibly ask for before our early morning safari. I can not praise our stay highly enough and we would have loved to have stayed for longer. Thank you Mark and everyone who made our stay so very perfect.

What a wonderful stay we had at Taru Villas. We booked last minute and were greeted warmly by Mark when we arrived. We quickly realised that as it was low season, we had the entire hotel to ourselves! We were upgraded to the best room on the property with a gorgeous jacuzzi overlooking the jungle. The room was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Full board was included in the room price and we enjoyed an outstanding 3 course breakfast, lunch and dinner cooked specially for us by the chef. The key highlight for us was the outstanding service and friendliness of the staff. They couldn’t do enough for us. A lovely touch at the end of our trip was that they had arranged for us to plant a tree in their gardens, and had prepared a beautiful plaque with our names inscribed. It was a truly memorable trip and couldn’t have been any better. I highly recommend to everyone!
