Yashi's Place Sigiriya

Owners were wonderful, very welcoming and doing all for us trying to make us feel like at home. Breakfast made from own produce was so tasty. When enjoying your breakfast, you are watching Sigiriya rock from the tropical garden - this was an unexpected surprise! The dinner was amazing - home made meal - it is a must to stay for a dinner at Yashi’s place!

Doors at our family room did not close, but anti bug spray provided by the owners prevented any unpleasant bites.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt hier sehr genossen und uns wie zuhause gefühlt. Harsha und seine Familie sind sehr herzlich und gastfreundlich. Die Anlage ist super schön und es ist alles da, was man braucht. Der Garten ist ein Paradies und beim Frühstück hat man einen wunderbaren Blick auf den Lion‘s Rock. Unser Highlight war der Kochkurs mit den Produkten aus dem eigenen Garten. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Wir wären gerne noch länger geblieben.

Great location, a bit out from the main area but close enough to walk. Yashi was a fountain of knowledge, helping us with tips and advice. Rooms are basic but comfortable and the new huts look great.

Familiäres Haus in ruhiger Atmosphäre mit gemütlichem Garten und sauberen Zimmern. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber, sehr leckeres und reichhaltiges Frühstück.

Die Klimaanlage könnte etwas leiser sein.

Une situation exceptionnelle avec le rocher du Lion face à la terrasse de restauration. Un calme olympien car l’établissement est situé en retrait de la route d’un côté et face à la jungle de l’autre. Le petit déjeuner est un régal !

Clean and spacious rooms, the host family is very nice! Great breakfast! Property is close to lots of good restaurants near by. We also did a cooking class at the home stay, and it was amazing! We made several different curries and had a delicious meal after! Big thank you to Priyanka for cooking with us!!

The stay in Sigiriya at Yashis place was one of the highlights of our trip. We came to Sigiriya after having done the whole south trip, so we were quite relaxed without much expectations. When we arrived, Yashi had allocated one of his rooms to us. On Booking.com, we had seen the huts and asked if these were also available. He explained that they are not finalised and open for guests yet... However, if we are fine with a cold shower, we could be the first guests to rent one hat with a minor extra charge. We did this and it was the best experience. Brand new house, super clean, quiet and comfy bed. Yashi and his family were the best hosts, super kind and caring. Breakfast was great with the view in the beautiful garden and the lions rock. All restaurants are a few steps away only, laundry service was arranged and nice recommendations were included. A highlight was that we were invited to the birthday party of Yashi's wife and sang Karaoke together 🥰 So we definitely recommend the place, and wish Yashi and his family great success with the new huts :)
