The Fort House

The location was good. The staff presented themselves nicely. Changed the room when we requested for. The breakfast was nice. The poperty is set in some old house which gave it a nice vintage feel.

There was no fan in the room and also the wifi was unable to reach the room also the bathromm had no lock. When we complained they changed our room to a better location. All fine there until we saw a flying cockroach just above the bed. Then in the morning they asked us to check out early cause they had researved the room for some white folks who were arriving(utter racism). No value for money

We loved our stay at The Fort House and would definitely stay again. It's a beautiful colonial style boutique hotel right in the middle of Galle Fort. The staff were fantastic and it was the best breakfast on our whole trip.

We had a really peaceful stay here. This place is calm and quiet, and the staff were super friendly. We had breakfast at the hotel and it was really good. The location is very convenient for visiting Galle Fort, and we felt safe during our stay. Highly recommended!

This is a lovely place to stay within yards of the ramparts of Galle Fort. Our deluxe room was spacious and very comfortable. It came well equipped with everything you need and we particularly appreciated the ceiling fan as we are not fans of air conditioning (AC was also provided in the room). The seated areas on the terrace were an added bonus. A great place to read a book or have a chat. The Sri Lankan breakfast was plentiful and changed each day and every item was carefully explained. The staff were all very friendly, always more than willing to help. Dilki and Hasna discussed our plans to get to Matara and helped us chose the right method. They even booked a tuk tuk to pick us up from the hotel. I would definitely recommend staying here.

It cannot be classified as a hotel or a boutique hotel, as it does not provide leisure areas, a bar, a restaurant, kitchen services, or a traditional reception. Guests are welcomed by staff members who sit with them and provide the necessary orientation in a simple and courteous manner. The rooms are clean and comfortable.

Loved the bath and location

Overpriced and at that price I expect them to have a backup generator as power was out all morning so no water, WiFi etc.

Some extra maintenance would have elevated the stay from great to luxurious
