L&D Lodge

Incredible place to stay in Hikkaduwa. All the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Comfortable room, nice AC, and good breakfast options. Cannot be beaten for the price!

I note that I was asked to move into a building nearby the L&D Inn. L&D Inn. and L&D Lodge have a good location - close to the ocean. This is a new hotel with modern renovation, a wonderful shower, toilet, large room, beautiful view from the window, air conditioning, lots of light, hot water - everything works. It was important for me to have Wi-Fi, it’s generally ok, but there are severe slowdowns in speed, and once there was a power outage (but not for long). For a small fee, a large kitchen with a refrigerator and a gas stove for cooking is available. I would recommend visiting a nearby restaurant with European and Russian cuisine "Cool Spot", and a supermarket Sandagiri Super Market (Pvt) Ltd.

If there was a mosquito net on the balcony door, it would be even more comfortable.

Great stay in a very clean hotel! Everyday they ask if you want the room cleaned. Location is central and the staff very friendly. We ended up staying two days more.

Fabulous situated property in the heart of Hikkaduwa. Clean rooms with comfy bed, with a warm, powerful shower and cold air con. Owner and staff were very friendly. We read a lot of complaints of the train tracks nearby being extremely loud/shaking the bed etc. Personally feel these comments are very dramatic. We didn’t wake up once during our whole 3 night stay. Nothing to complain about on the train front. Excellent value for money.

It was right next to the railway which we didn’t realise the passing train was extremely loud which could bother someone. We got air flux upon arrival, but you could still feel the whole building shaking when the train passed by Weaver so so tired that we slept anyways, but it’s important to point it out.
