De mooie nieuwe en stijlvolle inrichting, rustig gelegen en toch heel dicht bij het centrum. De host Martino was heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam met adviezen over Matera en ook het heerlijke ontbijt.

Het was een geweldig verblijf, niets op aan te merken.

Easy location to walk into town. Martino was charming and very helpful. Stylish conversion of the old tannery.

Like everywhere in Matera, lots of steps. Would loved to have had a view of the city or the canyon.

L’Antica is a beautifully renovated guest house right on top of the cliff overlooking the gorge, a 10 minute walk south of the Sassi. We were met by Martino who is absolutely passionate about Matera and its history and gave us excellent advice on what to see, and in which order to walk around this very interesting place. Martino didn’t speak English but used a translation App on his iPhone to advise us, and this was completely adequate. Thank you very much Martino. 😁 Parking was easy, a secure covered parking area is located about 30 metres away. An adequate Continental breakfast was provided.

Visiting Matera involves walking up and down many stairways and polished stone paths. It is hazardous and slippery. L’Antica is no exception. There are lots of stairs and getting luggage there is challenging.

Ha sido un placer. La habitación grande, limpia y muy cómoda. El desayuno muy rico y abundante. El dueño muy amable y atento, nos ofreció indicaciones muy claras para hacer la ruta que mejor nos venía. Buena ubicación si llegas en coche.
