Maika Safari Lodge

From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Kavandu Maika Safari Lodge we had an excellent experience. We arrived prior to check in and Kavandu took the time to share information about the town and the Safari that they offer. He provided excellent information and we never felt pressured or obligated. Our room was perfect with two large beds, an excellent air conditioner and comfortable patio. We also used the pool in the afternoon. I should also note we arrived by bus and the lodge is a short 10 minute walk from town and easy location to access restaurants or other necessary supplies. We opted for the 1/2 day safari offered by Maika Safari Lodge and Kavandu was at our door at 5:15 so we would be ready to leave at 5:30. The price of the Safari was really fair and our driver (Samitha) was very good. The breakfast provided during the Safari was excellent along with cold water and snacks. Very minor issues - there was a bit of an odour in the bathroom and there's really no shade area around the pool.

Great accommodation with very excellent pool and best safari experience with well knowledge guide.

They tried to scam us. If you don't get safari with them they kick you out on the street and force you to cancel the booking.

Incroyable accueil du gérant et de tout le personnel !! Établissement extrêmement propre et entretenu (dès très tôt le matin). Piscine parfaite après safari ou simplement se relaxer Très bon dîner lors duquel le gérant propose même de resservir et de profiter). Bon Petit dej également. Entouré d'une très belle végétation tropicale. Endroit hyper calme. Petit marché local à faire à proximité. Rapport qualité / prix plus qu'au RDV. Très bon emplacement pour faire Safari (à 20' entrée parc). Pour tout cela, on comprend en effet très bien la qualité des avis sur Booking.

Super Liebes, hilfsbereites und freundliches Team. Hat uns eine tolle Safari mit sensationellen Frühstück Organisiert. Die Bungalows sind sauber, groß und gemütlich eingerichtet. Super Pool zum Entspannen. Kann man nur weiterempfehlen. Bei dem günstigen Preis hab ich VIEL weniger erwartet. Waren positiv überrascht.

Extremely professionals for the udawalawe safari.The reason is we not had any arrangements for the udawalawe safari.But we said we need to do the safari and they arrange us best ever safari for us.We both enjoy that and our breakfast and cool drinks,Tea time everything they served in the national park. Not only that we stayed front of pool cabin.That was really comfortable and amazing pool view.After the safari we chilled in the pool.Really Thanks to arranged everything❤️🙏
