"Great hotel and amazing location."

We've been stuck in Sri Lanka, Colombo for a week due to a severe storm, and we have found Mariott to be the best accommodation out of 4 high-end accommodations. From the personell, to the rooms and ambience, I would give this hotel a 9/10 overall.

We got swapped a twin room for a kind room + a roller. While I appreciate that this was under weird conditions there was a group of guys that decided to stay overnight and got a twin, so that was weird.

Ist Zentral gelegen kommt schnell mit dem Tuk Tuk überall hin Ist eine sehr schöne Unterkunft Sauber und gepflegt

Auch wenn es mehr Luxus ist, sind die Stühle draussen an der frischen Luft schmutzig Es geht lange bis man einchecken kann. Sie sind nicht sehr flexibel Auch die Klimaanlage kann man nicht gut einschalten war sehr kalt geht lange bis es warm ist

Breakfast was good. Loved the hoppers! Staff were very attentive.

Hotel has a fabulous swimming pool for those who like to do laps (provided you find a quiet time in the pool). Peculiarly however the change rooms have insufficient facilities - nowhere to change nor any locker or hang up facilities.

The room/bed was very comfortable. With it being my brother and I staying, we found it sufficient prior to our departure back to Melbourne. The staff were kind enough to expend our check out to 1pm as our flight was at midnight. Overall, the staff made the stay very warm and welcoming. I think I would come again!

I didn't dislike the breakfast, but found the set up a little confusing/jumbled. The bread/sweet, cold foods (cereal/yoghurts), drinks are not within the same area, and you had to go searching for it. I'm only nit-picking, otherwise, it was fine.
