The location was very central, the villa was beautiful and the staff were exceptional. Ruwan who was the villa host , took care of all our needs and was very attentive. Naphar who checked us in also was very attentive and helped us book some spa experiences which were exceptional. We also took a tour of the Old city of Galle, arranged by the company and we enjoyed the very informative tour conducted by Chatura the tour guide.

The beautiful historical house in the walls of Galle, Ruwan the butler couldn’t do enough for you. The house was luxurious and comfortable, clean and well presented. Being part of the hotel you had all the facilities too. Would definitely come back again and spend longer

There is nothing not to like

From the moment we walked into 41 Lighthouse Street, it felt like we’d stepped into a little bit of magic. The villa has this quiet charm that instantly wraps around you. And then there’s Ruwan - smiling, kind, and absolutely incredible. He made sure our stay was perfect from start to finish. We’re not the easiest group to host, older parents, a five-year-old, and all our different needs but Ruwan somehow managed to look after every single one of us with so much care. He was constantly darting between the Fort Bazaar and the villa, making sure we had everything we needed before we even asked. We chose to have breakfast at the villa, which was always delicious, and on two evenings we had Chef Sashika come in and showcase a beautiful array of Sri Lankan cuisine - each meal was memorable and full of flavor. Ruwan coordinated it all so effortlessly, keeping everyone’s dietary quirks in mind. The pool was our little oasis in Galle’s heat perfect for cooling off after a day out. The bedrooms were beautiful and comfortable, and the bathrooms spotless and spacious. My favorite moments, though, were the evenings on the terrace, just sitting under the moonlight, listening to the quiet hum of the Fort. Everyone says the photos don’t do this place justice, and they’re right. It’s even better in person. But what truly makes this villa special isn’t just how beautiful it is - it’s Ruwan. He’s the heart of this place, and honestly, one of the kindest souls we’ve met on our travels

My family and I had the most amazing 4 day stay at 41 Lighthouse. The property is perfectly located on a quiet street but very close to all the trendy cafés and shops. The villa is impeccably kept and maintained by Ruwan and it has all the amenities that a discerning traveller is looking for. It’s truly a home away from home.
