Paddyway Resort

There is ongoing work to improve the hotel. The pool is round the back but didn't use it. Breakfast was good. It was quiet season so think we were the only ones staying so unfair to judge too harshly. There was a wasp nest a few metres from the room but didn't worry us as it is Sri Lanka after all. Staff were very friendly.

Very new hotel comfy beds spacious rooms great bathroom friendly staff. All good for a new hotel & there in the process of building another 9 rooms. Short walk to beach & restaurants. 😊

The proximity with Arugam Bay center

Overall very disappointing experience and too expensive for the service and facilities provided compared to other hotel experiences in Sri Lanka. Below expectation for a "4 star" hotel.

Place was all right, and staff was nice.

But it is way to expensive for the level of the facilities (pool, restaurant, etc). Below expectations for the level of price.

Great location. Nice pool and size is big compared to the size of the hotel. Big and clean rooms, beds are confortable. Breakfast available (order from the list) and its price and quality is good. Good and secure parking slot for car.

Wifi was most of the time really bad.

Wonderful staff and very accommodating. Rooms are clean and the pool was well maintained. Great for families with kids since it is a brief walk from the Main Street in Arugambay.

Finding quality accommodation for a family in Arugam Bay is tricky. While this hotel is new and has good sized Family Rooms with balconies, service and other facilities are mediocre. Staff are unorganised, pool was not very clean, had to ask for wifi and tv to be fixed. On checkout, was told ‘card machine was not working’ - and we would have to pay in cash. This is a common ‘scam’ in Sri Lanka - the hotel wants to avoid the card fees from the bank, which I do understand. Overall an ‘ok’ stay but not great.

Very friendly and nice host, clean rooms and nice pool. From what we have seen in AB it probably is one of the nicest places to stay!
