Paddyway Resort

Paddyway is located in a quiet area but only a few minutes stroll to the main street. The pool and rooms are clean, staff are really friendly and knowledgeable and the food is delicious. We arranged a surf lesson and also went to an onsite yoga session. Wish we'd found the place earlier - so much nicer than the hotels on the main strip. Thanks for the lovely stay.

Nothing to dislike. The hotel was only a month opening so we were the first to plug the fridge in!

Beautiful big new rooms. 2 mins walk to the beach and main part of town. We liked that it was set off the main road (main road is a bit party). We had nice views of the town and felt close to the village. Delicious food options. Fantastic host, Mubarak went above and beyond to make sure our stay was fantastic. They easily accommodated us extending our stay for another week. Organised drivers for surf expeditions and had local insight. Big beautiful pool with deck chairs. There was a brand new yoga space with daily classes which was a nice touch. All the staff were welcoming and made us feel at home. We will definitely be returning to Paddyway if returning to A Bay.

The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood but only a few walking minutes away from the main road with all the restaurants, bars and shops. The place recently opened and everything is brand new. If you have the WiFi signal, the internet is very good. The manager is super friendly and supportive. I highly recommend trying the traditional Sri Lanka breakfast in the hotel, so delicious! The rooms are very big and modern designed. The mattresses are good and comfortable.

I’ve been coming to Arugam Bay for years. There is no hotel like Paddway in Arugam Bay, it has ALL the modern essentials. I loved that it’s located a minutes walk from the main road away from the sounds of ABay night life. Newly opened, brand new, modern design, amazing pool and loved that there is a yoga shala and daily classes. Food was really yummy at the restaurant. The staff was so welcoming, helpful and friendly. They organize surf lessons, had one of the best lessons with their very professional and motivating surf instructor Firdows. 100% worth staying here!

the facilities and staff are exceptional. the property is brand new, modern and very comfortable. the staff are welcoming and helpful. it’s a great location, quiet but close to everything in Arugum bay. I highly recommend!!
