Hotel Watertoren West

Parking is unavailable and offered alternative in a public parking is extremely costly. Kitchen is partially and scarcely equipped. Elevator is slow and access is limited.

Nice quiet location. About a 10 or 15 minute walk into the area for restaurants etc. Easy parking outside (although it is paid parking between 9am and 6pm). Check in and out was easy. Right across from a supermarket. Apartments are lovely and spacious. It was fine for what we wanted, a base at night time, didn't spend time there during the day. Bed upstairs was extremely comfortable.

The outside of the hotel is very unkept. The viewing point on the 8th floor didn't seem to be open at all only between a few hours on a Sunday. There is also seems to be no aircon in the rooms. There is some sort of a thermostat however we couldn't get temp below 21 degrees however there was a fan in the room upstairs. The mattress in the cot was very hard. I had to take the duvet off the bed downstairs to fold up and put under him. Grand for a toddler but wouldn't be safe to do that with a baby! We were also there 3 nights and there was no cleaning. I also did see some reviews about dirty bed linen and I did see some stains on the bed sheets downstairs. The stairs in the room is also very steep with narrow steps.

Amazing place to stay in Groningen, beautifully decorated and great location!

Overall the place was amazing, however in a "fully equipped kitchen" some basic supplies like salt/pepper/oil would be appreciated.

Daytime Parking in road for 2 hours about 7 euros, free from 18.00 - 9.00. the nearest carpark about 800m which if you have a mobility issues may be too much

A real nightmere, when we arrived the apartment was DIRTY, the bed had not been made. My daughters bed pillows were dirty( please see pictures!!) the pots were dirty, the cutlery was dirty, one of the shower had cold water and the other in the upper room had a door which would not stay close and the bathroom would get flooded. The day after they cleaned the apartment a little more, but they did not make the room the following day. This Is a hotel and the are supposed to clean the room. For 3 days we took a very fast shower in a tiny bathroom , the wc is at the bottom of the stairs, in 1 square meter room with now windows or air system. THE black BATHROOM CURTAIN had not been cleaned since restauration for sure!!! If you have to get up at night you have to be very careful going down the stairs. DO NOT GO IN THIS PLACE!!! It is only nice in pictures but your stay will be HORRIBLE if you like luxury places!!! I can only add some pictures but there are so many more!!!!
