Very kind owners, that live at the property. Its very clean, comfy and everything you need for a short term stay.

Weak wifi (problem everywhere in Iquitos).

The house was very well looked after, very clean and was well located. The two ladies who live there are very nice and helpful as well! It was nice to come back to a perfectly clean room everytime we headed out to the city/river for the day.

If they improve the wifi, this would be easily the best value place to stay in Iquitos. If you have mobile data you don't have to worry about the wifi however.

It's a small family run business. The location is pretty good. Only blocks away from necessities and 10-20 minutes from the Malecon and Plaza de Armas. Depending on what you're looking for, the value is ok for the price.

You can only pay with cash, no credit cards accepted. The rooms have AC but you have to pay S/ 15 extra to use them. The wifi is barely usable and I can't use it to do my work, luckily I have a data plan on my phone and was able to connect to that. They have signs posted everywhere saying "keep the noise down" which in my opinion is just too much. The TV in my room was extremely small and the screen was semi-broken.

The hosts were nice enough (though interaction was minimal). They helpfully organized a taxi to pick me up from the airport but I got the impression that this wasn't something they were used to doing. It's extremely basic accommodation most likely used as a place to drop bags in between jungle trips, rather than as a place to be comfortable and explore Iquitos from for more than a night. It is in a less-touristy area, and there are a few local and authentic restaurants scattered around the back streets which are nice to try.

Motorbike taxis roar past the window all day and most of the night (and you have to have the windows open because there is no AC, and the bathroom is open air anyway). There was no towel/mat for the floor in the bathroom when you come out of the shower, and no extra towel for drying your hair. There was a very old and mouldy-looking fridge unplugged in the corner of the room. There is no warm water or AC (which is fine when you're out and about, but cooling down between trips can be useful, especially if you're not around long enough to acclimatise). No drinking water was available here (the two other places I stayed at in Iquitos had barrels for you to fill up your water bottles at) and it's a good solid 10+ minutes' walk to the Plaza de Armas where you'll find a small supermarket to buy provisions. It would have been nice to have had a proper introduction to the area on arrival (which I received at other places I stayed), where they advise you on which areas are safe, where the best restaurants/bars/cafes are and highlight trips/things to visit nearby. Unfortunately, had I only stayed at this accommodation when I arrived in Iquitos, I would have not enjoyed the city and surrounding area - after moving, I had the level of comfort and amount of information I needed to enjoy it. You can read a lot online about what to do in Iquitos, but local knowledge is more up to date and helpful.

The location was good and the rooms are in the back so you don't hear the street traffic. The room had a fan and a refrigerator which was helpful in the heat! The staff was very friendly and the size of the room was large. The accommodations are basic/non-frills, but good for anyone traveling on a budget.
