Long Cove Resort near Charlotte Airport

Gross property! Had bed bugs, cockroaches and many more bugs coming through the house in all the cracks! Please stay away!

The first time I went was a lot better than the second time. This time the area was not too clean, the room was great and very clean and comfy but the rest just OK! Also the first time I went they gave us free charcoal and matches for the BBQ and this time I had to purchase it…

I stumbled across this getaway, while searching for vacation spots near Charlotte. My husband said he didn't want to drive far. This was on the other side of town, but far enough to feel like we were away from home. The wooded surroundings was really relaxing. Since, I'd become interested in staying in a tiny house this looked like the perfect opportunity to do so. My husband loves fishing and the idea of being at the lake was just as appealing. We checked in on Thurs. Sept. 5th- Tues Sept 10th. The stay was good. There were a few things that could be improved. The internet connection was choppy. The sofa in the living room was not comfortable at all. There was no tv in the bedroom. We went out a bought one but again we had problems with the internet. The air conditioning were installed units. The the seal around the units was not good. The space never felt like the air was on, but more like a fan. Both my husband and I agreed that we had a nice time and we will come back again.

This was a great experience as opposed to getting a hotel. My gf and I plan to make this a yearly trip! The mini cabins were clear, smelled good and were extremely comfortable for our stay over the weekend. We had Cabin 13 which had its own deck which I enjoyed, and a beautiful view of the water. Having the private beach just a walk down the hill from the cabins was a major bonus. My only two complains are the roads conditions were rough, but I’m not even sure is in their control. Other than that, having some lighting around the beach area would have been nice, after sunset unless there’s a bond fire going, is dark in the beach area, and I think some dim lighting would allow the beach to be used longer. Other than that I had a great time and will definitely be referring people who travel to Charlotte

Overall the property was nice and quiet. Very peaceful. The television did not work. They have a Roku, but it was constantly going in and out, so I was not able to watch TV. The Wi-Fi also went in and out. There was issues with insects being inside the unit, but I attribute that to being in the woods close to a river and the rain.

I love this property so much. It was so beautiful and my son had a great time. The only thing I didn’t like is when I booked it said Lakeview, but my cabin did not have a lake view.

Enjoyed the lake

There was a leak noise in the toilet, a huge hole in the screen, and water dripping from the air conditioner for a while. I was able to see a beautiful lake that made me forget all about it. I would visit again. I smiled at the kindness of the staff.
