Easy access, very affordable, clean bedding

Very hot rooms, kitchen could do with an update.

Clean room, friendly staff, onsite parking.

Room was very small and very basic, my feet touched the wall one end and head the other (190cm). Room would’ve been around 1.4m wide at most. Because it was so small it got very hot, had to sleep with window open which was immediately next to the entrance door, so I could hear people come and go all night. Walls were also thin and very noisy. Showers were tiny, barely enough room to wash and dry. Whole place seemed a bit run down. The room was clean but the common areas like kitchen and bathrooms a bit dirty (to be fair, this could be point in time) I paid $62 Australian, for $90 two days later I got a full hotel room in the heart of Wellington. Similarly for $120 in the Auckland CBD. Seemed like this was maybe over priced by comparison, although better than being in a dorm with others. TBH everything in Rotorua seemed like poor value compared to other parts of the north island in summary: for one night it was passable but I wouldn’t have wanted to be there any longer.

I took a single room pod. Small room but great for a one night stay. Lady at the front desk was kind and very friendly. Thank you.
