Das River Cottage liegt an einem kleinen Fluss zentral in Blenheim. Das Auto kann hinter dem Haus geparkt werden. Die Inhaberin ist sehr nett. Das Zimmer und das Gemeinschaftsbad waren sehr sauber. Es hat an nichts gemangelt. Restaurants fussläufig erreichbar. Das Haus hat eine Veranda mit Liegesesseln wo man sich Abends mit dem Laptop auf dem Schoss den Sonnenuntergang anschauen kann. Das war sehr bequem :)

Location was perfect for us. The place was very clean and tidy. In addition to the room, you can use the living room and the kitchen, also a sun room with the nice view. Very comfortable bed.

I upgaded the room (with the exrtra fee obviously) to the room with the private bathroom. The bathroom was only for our use, but we had to go through the corridor right in front of the door to the living room, which was publicly accessible and the door was always open. The owners asked me what time we would check in because there wasn't always someone at the reception. We agreed on a specific time, so of course we tried to adapt to it. We arrived on time but found no one there. Meanwhile, they sent me an email (which I didn't know about, as I hadn't checked my email during the trip) letting me know we could check in remotely. Couldn't this have been done straight away? That was confusing.

Location was great -- close to the town centre and the river. Actual room was very nice. It was very nice having the common areas available, especially when one of us was having a nap, though it might have been different if we had to share with the people in the other two rooms. The conservatory in particular was a thoroughly pleasant place to sit and knit while looking at the garden and the river. The private bathroom for the garden view room was separate rooms rather than ensuite. At first this threw me a bit, but I ended up actually appreciating that it was separate but still private.

Bathroom was fine and clean, but could use an update as was a bit worn down. As with all motels/hotels etc, the towels are never wide enough, which was a bit of a concern as the shared rooms are visible between the bathroom and bedroom -- easily worked around by getting dressed in the bathroom or through careful timing. Loungers in the conservatory weren't super comfortable for tall people.

Was central and walking distance to cafes and shops. Cosy little cottage

Shower pressure wasn’t good, TV didn’t work well. Have let the owner know and she will address this. Advertising that you have a shared bathroom was explained well

Friendly owner went out of her way to sort the TV issue. Facilities were good. Location is walking distance of shops and gym. Even not that far to the supermarket. The cottage has nice views of the river, the mountains and is close to a park like area by the river.

TV didn't work in room BUT hosts will sort it. I used lounge TV
