River Cottage

He location is beautiful. Sit along the river and relax.

The actual rooms have been updated but everything else is tired and not that it was dirty but not as clean as a lot of other properties we stayed at.

Beautiful location, lovely big bed with electric blankets and good linen. Easy walking distance to town and easy to get access. Just follow the email instructions! Plenty of shared leisure/relaxation space downstairs with a full kitchen and easy access to a river walk right outside. Would definitely stay again

Was lovely to stay in such a gorgeous old house. Was so close to centre of town. We were able to walk everywhere.

Nothing! Initially we had concerns being near the foot traffic. However was no issues!

Very friendly owner and comfy room in a house-like set up. Owner lives else where so I had the place to myself. I didn't use the cooking/lounge facilitates but they looked comfy, very homely, neat and clean. This would be great spot for a small group to book out. Awesome communication and I was even able to check in half an hour early. I would defiantly stay again.

My room was not en-suit but I knew that when I booked it so it's no fault of the property - I am not sure they can offer en suite rooms.

Brilliant location, spacious, clean, cosy, room. Heater kept us warm and tv entertained. One of our nights we were alone in the house so had full access to the kitchen and dining room to ourselves. Plus free parking.

Overall vibe was slightly off, as front door to the house was open 24/7, and there were no staff or hosts present at any point. Felt more like a mountain hut than a town cottage stay - functional but not overly secure (coming from a city, felt a little unsafe, but Blenheim is a safe place so maybe nothing if you're ok with that).

The location was perfect. Wandering along the river has been a real treat.

Great central location. Lots of parking. Easy check in. Spacious room with nice view. Very big bed. Clean room. Close to Seymour Park. Felt very homely which was lovely. Fridge in room. Coffee and tea amenities available in room. Big desks too! Heaters available.

If you have big bags or mobility challenges please beware that the stairs are narrow. The guests in the other room were rather loud until late & they brought the smell of smoke in with them which isn’t the fault of the property - just something that dampened my experience. Perhaps worthwhile to add a no smoking sign somewhere. The host is easy to contact if you need to get in touch though.
