The history. It felt welcoming and homely. The staff were lovely and friendly. Food was amazing. Loved the big open fire and the big comfy sofas.

Would have liked a cooked breakfast.

Paper thin walls between rooms. Rooms quite small by NZ standards - but it odd in the middle of nowhere
