Killean Farmhouse Cottages

De cottage Holly ligt rustig en is voor langer verblijf prima. Wel ligt het aan een gemeenschappelijke ruime binnenplaats/tuin met een zitje. En we hadden goed weer dat we daar ook gebruik van konden maken. De overige gasten waren ook gelukkig rustig. Een heerlijk bed en met 4 kamers is de cottage zeer ruim en dat is ons zeer goed bevallen. De keuken is vrij nieuw en ook voorzien van vele gemakken. Wij konden na 11 dagen onze was doen; perfect. Wel is er gebruik gemaakt van de elektrische kacheltjes, ook om was te drogen en na de douche de badhanddoek te laten drogen. De binnentemperatuur is rond 16 graden wat logisch is voor een oude cottage. Maar daar moet je wel rekening mee houden. Net als de trap omhoog. De cottage was schoon. Een punt van aandacht vinden wij de badkamer. Die is klein, maar dat geeft niet voor ons. Maar er was geen mogelijkheid om iets op te hangen (handdoek) en het witte verrijdbare open kastje voor badspullen was niet schoongemaakt. De betimmering rond de wc verdient aandacht, net als de wand naast de wasbak. Die is nog niet betegeld? Mogelijk was dit nog niet af toen het seizoen startte. Verder horen de vensterbanken ook meegenomen te worden in de schoonmaak. Ondanks het laatste punt, hebben wij een prima verblijf gehad en genoten van deze mooie locatie.

Pretty location for a nice cottage with some antiques and modern furniture. Very comfortable and quiet. The host was very helpful. Enjoyed my stay.

Nice cottage, but shower didnt work good

So much space compared to the other hotels I stayed at on this trip, very comforting that it felt like being in a home, bed was very cosy, kitchen was great, this was my favourite stay in our Scotland trip.

Beautiful property and beautiful town

Beautiful peaceful location, close to Inverary. Main concern relates to the windows not being airtight. This left the house drafty and difficult to warm. Main bedroom blind was moving with the wind whilst the window was cold. Window also open on arrival with many midges in house resulting in numerous bites throughout stay. Kitchen sponge and brush filthy and mold in washing machine detergent dispenser. TV difficult to get working and no instructions provided. Also, unable to access wifi during entirety of stay.

Our stay at the farmhouse was amazing, the cottage was clean and had everything we needed, although the weather was poor we managed to have a great time and we were greeted by a little grey cat which was adorable, thank you to the staff for making the stay the best if could be!

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

È stato tutto perfetto, il cottage era perfetto per me e il mio cane, il parco tutto intorno è immenso, c e anche un recinto per far correre il tuo cane. Bellissimo, un sogno vivere in un posto cosi ♡

Lovely little place, we wanted a quiet place to have a last minute getaway and this place met our needs, we only marked down for the shower as it was a little temperamental going between stone cold and boiling hot.
