"Shabby but not chic"

1.0

Beds were comfy

Rusty gate, dirty front door next to a very rotten window frame, broken planter, dead plants and rusty garden furniture. Open the door and the house smells musty which is also in the kitchen cupboards - wash all plates, glasses etc before use. Only one broken hook in shower room, broken light pulls, rugs that don't fit, frayed stair carpet, badly fitted tiles and lino.  Damp marks on wall in bedroom and water marks on wall in bathroom  All yours for £175 a night.  On our last morning we got two builders and a digger at 0745 for free! Asked for compensation (and Stay Gower did offer to refund the cleaning fee)  but no reply from owner who obviously cares not for his property or the experience of his guests.  One star for comfy beds.  The photos of this property are misleading.  Keep looking.

"Lovely cosy cottage close to the sea (but not too much so to be affected by crowds and traffic."

9.0

Lovely quiet location in beautiful area. Well equipped cosy cottage. Private with (morning) sunny small courtyard. Two double bedrooms - steep stairs may not suit the infirm or less mobile, We were two adults and one teenager. Parking space close by. Perfect for coastal walks and access to near by village with three pubs. Believe it accepts dogs at additional cost - though we did not have one.

Nothing really. We booked last minute (the night before) and, as I suspect we were the first tenancy of the season, the house had not really been opened up and aired for a while. But it was absolutely fine and we loved it and our stay. Would certainly book this again for our next visit to the Gower

"Peaceful, lovely views, coastal path on the doorstep."

8.0

Character. Views! Dishwasher ;)

Wi-Fi was too weak. It would have been better for us to have one bedroom with two single beds. Access to garden would have been great too.

"Cosy base to explore a beautiful place!"

10.0

Really lovely, well equipped cottage. Great location to explore Gower and a very short walk to the coast path.

We could’ve done with a larger outdoor area for our dog but with such a beautiful setting we didn’t mind!
