Villena Plaza

Beautiful clean room with amazing view, right in the centre of the city. Great staff and you get free breakfast in a nearby hotel.

As it’s in the centre, it gets pretty loud day and night (street musicians with microphones) but it usually stops around 11pm. A staff member was about to enter into my room (i was taking too long to open) to check the toilets one afternoon, scared me as I was just about to open the door to him. Didn’t feel safe leaving my valuables in the room after this encounter. No elevator, you have to go up around 4/5 levels so it gets pretty exhausting especially in the heat. There was loud talking in the common area at 12am-1am between a pair of guests and staff, very hard to sleep as the walls are so thin you can hear everything.

Very high steps on 4 th floor no elevator, broken handlramp by the stairs, broken appliance in bathroom .( toilet paper dispenser and tap by the radiator, luke warm water in shower, a/c non functioning, wi-fi non functioning , not even a bottle of drinking water provided when tap water not advised to be drunk , little room for clothes, non functioning and unsecured safe box !

Excellent standard of decoration and hygiene, with the ceiling and the balcony absolutely superb. We felt there was poor communication with staff: when we provided updates, they were unacknowledged or ignored; when we had questions, answers were vague a slow to arrive; and we had to ask other guests about how to unlock the front door as staff had missed out essential information! We were also frustrated about the lack of hot water at times.

Nice place, comfortable, clean and beautiful rooms. You don’t need to take any transport to visit the places, everything is within walking distance (max. 20 min. Walking) One thing that you should know is that there is no lift and the place is quite noisy till 12am.

Very clean and tidy, great location, staff really helpful.
