Scallywags Joglo Villa

Big villa with lots of space for a family of 5 with older kids. Beautiful pool and well spec clean rooms

Tiles/floors and boards are a bit dated

Awesome rustic villa, wonderful bedrooms, comfy beds. Great private pool. Morning breakfast delivered was lovely. The staff go up and above to make sure you are happy a great experience

If you are of an age where walking is challenging then the harbour front is a few minutes walk away. However electric scooters are available and they are very cheap to hire. The monastery is very close to the villa and there are many prayer times, so perhaps pack some ear plugs 😁

The Villa & location is ok.

Staff, completely incompetent Daily servicing - stayed for 10 days had the room cleaned twice properly, Head to send a message every day wanting room Service which I did that resulted and still no room service, when they did come they did a very poor job of cleaning. The pool area was never cleaned. The coffee and tea was topped up twice through entire stay. Had to Beg for new towels for $400 a night. You can stay in a five star resort somewhere else.

It was all good. I would recommend. Pool was quite hot so we didn’t really use it and main bedroom AC wasn’t working that well. Otherwise great location, great service etc

Wunderschön und sauber

It had the facilities as listed (though somewhat moldy and dirty), the pool and the layout of the villa was nice, also kind of good that it was close to shops. Staff was friendly (but this also changed uncomfortable after we noted about the noise issue).

They don’t tell in description that this villa is located right next to the Mosque and the loud speakers point towards this villa. For the beginning of the booking we could somehow manage with the noise disturbance, but after Ramadan started, for two remaining weeks me, my husband, my mother and both of my kids woke up at 3 AM to literal screaming (nothing to do with speaking or praying) from the mosque. Loud prayers lasted until around 11 PM for multiple consecutive hours in the evening, so no possibility to chill at the villa or going to bed early). We complained about this and proposed multiple times for solutions, e.g. that we would leave a week early and get refund for the unused nights but got no response for long time, until Scallywags proposed we move to two separate rooms (!) at their beach club. We booked a villa with private pool, three bedrooms and a kitchen for more than 3000 euro. I did not fully understand but apparently their idea of compensation for downgrading was with one massage (I did not even ask what they had in mind) 😑. Also booking.com customer service only suggested us to solve this with Scallywags. 😡 We ended up not getting any solution or compensation or even any apology.

Spacious rooms & bathrooms, great common spaces, well appointed with beautiful gardens and large pool. Fabulous central location.

A little bit of a trek to breakfast but we enjoyed the exercise.
