BASK GILI MENO

Terrible, terrible service, I made arrangements for transfers to the resort they forgot three times, they forgot to give me the WiFi password I had to go out side and asked a waiter because reception wouldn’t answer, I tried to order room service they just wouldn’t reply, just awful service and a bunch of apologies. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all

This was our second visit to BASK (first being August 2024) and it really was even better than last time!! Welcomed back like family almost by Kaphi, or as we call him ‘Big D’. Given the same 2 bed villa as last time (Villa 11) where we spent a week enjoying everything BASK and Gili Meno has to offer. Villa was as gorgeous as last time, and the menu on offer is more extensive than before with plenty to keep you excited about food time for a week or more. Jordan has been added to the team at BASK as F&B Manager and he is clearly doing a good job elevating the dining experience at BASK. The Sushi, steaks, cocktails, wine etc etc are superb and even more so when you consider the location etc. We had in-villa massages by the wonderful ‘Atik’ which were excellent, and a private snorkelling trip which was one of the highlights of our entire 2 week trip seeing many turtles right up close as well as so many fish and nice coral (best coral is on the other side of Meno from BASK). The only negative thing about BASK is having to leave……thanks again to the wonderful team at BASK led by Manuel and special thanks to ‘Big D’, Nengah, Ari, Memet, Jhonas, Li, Andi and all the others who made our week so wonderful. The best part of my trip to Indonesia. Bask exceeded my expectations in every way. The rooms, the food, the staff, everything was amazing. The pictures dont do justice to the resort and I recommend everyone to come visit! Gili Meno is a very peaceful island and you can access the reefs by just getting into the water infront of your room(although the reefs start after like 50m). The staff was super friendly and i actually became friends with them and went on a night out to Gili Trawangan. They help you with anything you need including day trips to visit places around the islands, noney exchange, bike rentals, you name it. The resort actually organised a boat for me to go to Gili T at midnight with just an hrs notice prior to our departure. I feel like i left a part of me at the resort. Look for Kahpi, Ramli, and Rizal, who were amongst the favorite staff there and made sure it was them who came to my assistance everytime i needed it. Kahpi is also the head chef and he does a fantastic job which is why id like to think Bask sets itself apart from the rest. Theyve got premium selection of meat and fish available at the resort with some very reasonable prices. Forgot to mention you get the most magical sunsets anywhere on the resort and the resort is sunset facing south u wont miss it a single day :) Overall id love to visit Bask everytime i come to Indonesia. By far the best place i stayed at during my trip!

We visited Bask twice whilst staying on Gili Meno & we had such an amazing time! Was great that we could use the facilities without staying at the resort. The amenities are absolutely beautiful and such a relaxed atmosphere the staff were so attentive and welcoming. We had Lana looking after us on our first day, she was amazing and was always there if we needed anything & to check if we were okay. On our second visit, Fandi was so friendly, he kept our drinks coming & even helped us with how to move onto our next location. Both huge credits to the team! We look forward to another visit in the future :)

Quiet beachside oasis on a beautiful tropical island

BASK...for the moment you walk in, it put a smile in your face. It was so good that we had to extend our stay. The villa, food, location & service were excellent. For what we could see, it was one of the best properties in Gili Meno. I woke up 5:30 am, get my gear and I was snorkelling at underwater statues just myself before the boats arrived 6:15 am. So convenience that I could snorkelling in front of my villa and guarantee see a sea turtle and the beautiful marine life. Treat yourselves with a in room massage, get into the pool later and appreciate a sunset with nice cocktails. Few steps from your villa, you head to a nice dinner experience. If you need anything, send them a WhatsApp message and before you blink, your request will be at your door step. The service was outstanding. Staff went above and beyond to meet our requirements. Fandi, Yakub, Will and forgive me if I forgot anyone. You were all fabulous. You want to leave this beautiful place conveniently, please book their boat back to Gili T. Hassle free. One of the best resorts/villas I’ve ever stayed in! Everything about this place is soo good. We stayed in the loft and it was amazing, dined at the restaurant which was amazing and spent a day just relaxing in the pool drinking and snacking overlooking the beach which was amazing. Staff were amazing and catered to all our needs. Can’t rate this place highly enough and can’t wait to go back.
