BASK GILI MENO

Stayed at BASK for 6 nights with wife and daughter in a 2 bedroom beachfront pool villa…….what an absolutely STUNNING place to stay!! Having booked it some months earlier we were anxious it might not live up to expectation…..thankfully not the case and we really could not fault the place. The rooms were perfect and very nicely specced-our rate included breakfast which was essentially anything we wanted on the menu either served in the beach club or in our own villa (what a treat!). Excellent food especially the eggs benedict and the huevos rancheros!! Infact all the food at BASK was really good and, for such a classy place, very well priced. We were a bit gutted we never got to try the tenderloin as it sold out the day we arrived but it atleast gives us an excuse the go back!! Whilst we did swim/snorkel off the beach it was extremely crowded and with many boats weaving in/out of the swimmers……not something that BASK can control though. We got up at 06:30 a couple of times to try and beat the rush and managed to snorkel the Nest and see some turtles but just be warned it does get crazy by 8am (or atleast it did when we were there).. We spent most of our time enjoying our villa and pool watching the world go by (and laughing at the seemingly endless stream of Instagrammers obsessing over their ‘perfect’ snaps!!). BASK can supply snorkel kit and bikes to cycle round the island and do a bit of exploring. Recommend you bring some reef/beach shoes as the beach is obviously full of coral and can we hard on your feet! Final word is regarding the staff……a wonderful team led by Manuel and special thanks from us go to Sam, Mehmet, Jhonis, Bandy, Will, ‘Big D’, Gaby and ofcourse Nengah! We will have missed some off the list (apologies) but literally every member of staff made you feel welcome and special-nothing was too much trouble. You might guess from all this that we loved our time at BASK and cannot wait to return!!

From the moment we arrived, this place was special. An absolute credit to the staff running it. We will be back.

Très belle découverte ! Le lieu est superbe, les villas sont très belles et entretenues avec soin. Le personnel est aussi très sympathique et nous avons eu la chance de bénéficier d’un upgrade pour profiter pleinement de notre séjour. Aussi, les repas comme les cocktails sont très bons et bien présentés. Nous recommandons donc avec grand plaisir cet hôtel pour une petite parenthèse sur Gili Meno.

Fabuleux séjour au bord de l’océan où nous avions juste à sortir de la chambre pour aller nager directement avec les tortues et autour des fameuses statues. La chambre était très confortable, la wifi fonctionnelle, le personnel aux petits soins.
