The Inn and the lodgings were closed down with no notification. I couldn't stay here and booking.com were very little help. Had to find my own alternative accommodation late the same evening. Was told by a hotel in Wincanton that this happened previously and they ahd taken in many people like me who were stuck last minute.

It was closed, the phone number to ring wasn’t answered or a call back after multiple messages left. After almost 2 hours waiting I abandoned and had to find another hotel in the area.

We arrived for a staff members retirement lunch and my wife and I had booked accommodation. There was a notice (see photo) saying they were shut. No advanced notification no phone call or email. v
AUGBGBReally felt like a holiday, so quiet, birds singing, beautiful kept gardens, friendly personal, exceptional art shop (everybody should visit it, so special). This is a place where I definitely come back to. It's got so much history and a lovely vibe. People really make you feel at home her. They will just embrace you in their middle

GBThe accommodation was cosy, but a few cleaning issues.
Booked in for our anniversary, but due to technical issues the inn was closed. So we’re unable to have a meal which was out of their control. We stayed in a pod in the grounds. Breakfast was described as “ a luxury continental basket” in fact it was a small bottle of orange juice and a small packet of cereal.
GBPod was absolutely cracking. Very comfortable, everything you could need. Quiet surroundings with many places to see in the area.
Had a problem with shower draining, on-site shepherd tried to sort it out but couldn’t. Staff couldn’t be more apologetic.
