Pod accommodation was fun, innovative and well equipped. Parking on site

I booked to stay at a pub but on arrival the pub was closed down and there were no staff on site. I had to telephone for someone to come and take payment and explain. If I had known, I would have booked elsewhere. A shame because the pub looked very nice and I’m sure I would have enjoyed it if it was only open

Excellent in room facilities, ie fridge/freezer including water, fruit juice and milk; coffee machine and kettle with plenty of complimentary tea and coffee pods and a box of cereal for the morning.; a large shower.

There was nothing that I didn't like.

The pods where comfy, warm and had everything we needed - something different and did not disappoint - having the pub attached was great

We do prefer a cooked breakfast when we go away but we knew this wasn't provided and didn't affect our overall stay

Atmosphere

Food not up to usual standard poor choice of food. On menu Batter on fish overcooked as was the chips had to ask for more towels cup and bowl advertised for continental breakfast which consisted of crunchy nut cornflakes and 2 pkts with 2 biscutes in each pkt very disappointing such a shame as its a lovely old pub

The pods are charming, well equipped, quiet, comfortable, good value. The location is quiet and really sweet, each with its own little terrace. Darcy (who finally cleaned our room) was really friendly and efficient.

We were not told we had to ask for our room to be serviced. When we found the pods unserviced and asked the male manager he was extremely surprised that we did not automatically know this. Our bathroom towel rail was not hot so there was nowhere to dry towels so we needed dry ones. Also we were only given half a loo roll so needed morel. He did send someone and offer us a free drink in the bar so it all got sorted. Do not think this includes breakfast, Its one packet of small cereal. This room really comes with a tea/coffee service (which is good) with fresh milk, coffee but does not include a continental breakfast. If you bring your own yogurt, fruit etc it works perfectly as they have a good fridge/freezer, bowls, spoons etc. Probably better not to say it includes breakfast in the details.

Lovely and cute lodge! Loved the extra touches of breakfast, coffee machine and drinks in the fridge. The pub was lovely too

The shower didn’t drain well

Pod was lovely. Friendly helpful staff. Good shower. Comfortable bed. Beautiful village location but easy to find.

Continental breakfast was a box of cereal! My fish and chips meal was disappointing, hard peas and rather dry chips. My salad was delicious but the white of the poached egg was raw.
