Very welcoming, although due to unforeseen circumstances, no evening meals were available, only breakfasts, not a big problem as there were other eateries nearby, however the staff were apologetic about the situation and were all friendly and helpful. The hotel room was clean and tidy with a big comfy bed and I got a good nights sleep there. The room appliances I used all worked OK too.

The hotel as a whole was adequate. The room was basic and minimal, but comfortable. The staff was very friendly. We did request an upstairs room, but understood it was not guaranteed. The room we were given was right outside the bar where all the smokers gathered. And there were a lot of them. A bit loud, but the bar closed at 11:30pm. The real issue was the person/people upstairs. They we so loud we could not sleep. The floors are so bad you hear every movement. And they were up all night, keeping us up. Loud TV playing. Stomping around. No consideration for others. Overall the hotel was okay, but our experience was very disappointing.

The property is at the back of the pub and not part of the pub and therefore it’s quiet. The rooms have been refurbished to a high standard . There was a bath and shower in our room . The bed was huge and very very comfortable , we slept well. We would have liked a choice of the cost for breakfast . ie a price for a light breakfast as we had to pay a fixed cost but didn’t want a full cooked option. However , this accommodation is great value for money and is convenient for the motorway .

Bed listed as a double but was two singles joined together. Dip in middle disturbed my sleep a lot. Also one had a mattress topper the other didn’t. So felt very uncomfortable. Shouldn’t have to ask at reception for a shower mat . Should be provided .

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome 😀 our room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, the evening meal we had and breakfast were great and were reasonably priced too, we would definitely stay again and would highly recommend this hotel
