Very unique.

The sink in the bathroom needs to be replaced, pretty gross.

"The website states, "comfortable and spacious rooms." I guess we had the wrong room."

4.0

I had the coffee. It was good. The location was very convenient to downtown Bisbee where we spent the bulk of our time. The staff was friendly. I had to reach out to staff off site in order to check in. They were friendly and helpful. The man at the coffee bar was very friendly and informative.

Check in was a gong show. If I had known that I had to check in electronically, I would have picked a different location. I hated it. I thought the Oliver House was going to be a charming old fashioned lodge experience. Instead, it required me to be more tech savvy than I am comfortable with, especially after traveling and being tired upon arrival. The room was not well furnished and the furnishing there were, were not placed properly in the room. The outlets were sloppy. It was impossible to reach the chain for the ceiling light/fan. My 6 foot tall husband couldn't even reach it. There was only one lamp in the room. One of the end tables was an atrocity. Not charming at all. Off to the thrift store for that one. The tables to each the side of the bed were not suitable. One was a magazine rack. This is not charming. This is not an old lodge experience. It is just a not-realized vision. More work needs to be done. It took an exorbitantly long time for the hot water to reach the bathtub. Understandably, it is an older building, but how much cold water has to go down the drain in the state of Arizona before tepid water arrives for a guest to get cleaned up? I am a low maintenance person, and this experience was even below what I find acceptable. Beware that the parking lot is down the hill from the house. It is a bit of a grunt to haul your bags up the hill and along the pathway. I believe that the Oliver House is a work in progress, and more work needs to be done.

"Super cool! Great if you’re looking for something simple and unique."

Very interesting and beautiful location. Clean, comfy, great staff!

Parking was confusing GPS takes you close but with the geography you have to call to get more specific directions. Shared bathroom means down the hall, not shared between suites. It’s on the ghost tour so plan on that.

Clean place! Holds history

Wish we knew our room (14) was the only room without air conditioning, but we made do!

"quirky and full of character"

9.0

Oliver House is quintessential Bisbee. If you are looking for luxury and amenities, go to Palm Springs instead. Bisbee offers quirkiness, character and history, and Oliver House is a perfect place to experience that. The bar is a big plus, offering beer and wine rather than cocktails, but is a great socializing venue.

Be aware that there are a lot of steps both within the hotel and getting to and from the parking lot.

The history, the great communication, the people, the speakeasy

Our room didn’t have a nightstand. It did have a bathroom, but it really wasn’t very functional-a trickle of water pressure.

"Short and sweet"

6.0

Everything in Bisbee is essentially within walking distance so in that respect the house is in a good location. It is tastefully decorated with antique furnishings and accents to keep with the era. The staff was great. Very friendly and accommodating. We did not partake in the happy hour at the Speak Easy but it sounded like everyone was having a good time. The slightest noise does travel. The rooms have ventilation windows located over the doors.

The downstairs was HOT! It was 30 degrees outside and keeping the window open all night made it barely bearable. The upstairs was cold. The building is old with wood floors and paper thin walls. Voices carry and anyone walking up and down the stairs and hall can be heard all through the building. It's a little tricky to get to and you have to hoof it from the parking lot below.
