The Six Bells

Stayed for the night.

Das Hotel liegt super ländlich. Wäre das WLAN nicht gewesen, hätte es kein Netz gegeben. Das Personal was super nett. Das Zimmer war praktisch eingerichtet. Wer zeitig ins Bett möchte, sollte ein Zimmer abseits des Biergarten wählen. Gestern war bis 23:45 Uhr Betrieb.

Great service and lovely place to stay

A very pleasant place to stay; friendly, comfortable and clean.

I have stayed at the Six Bells since January as often as they have had rooms available each week as I was working in the area, I have been made to feel part of the family at this point- it’s been lovely getting to know everyone especially Una, Nigel and Luke. I have been very well looked after and when I have requested I’ve had the same room consistently. The hotel is semi-rural so it is in a very quiet location, with easy and convenient access to lots of places, the rooms are comfortable and having baths in 3 of the 4 rooms, was a bonus for me. The breakfast being included was both convenient and plentiful with a cooked breakfast option as part of the package, parking is ample and locals were also welcoming when drinking/dining in the pub. I have nothing but positives to say about the Six Bells and I will miss everyone dearly. Highly recommend!!

Welcome was rather informal but I was ok with that, only build would be to be cognisant of female solo travellers and not necessarily announcing their room number in the bar area when handing over the key pack. Room was lovely, comfortable and clean. A couple of areas maybe to consider - frosted glass in the bathroom as I had to have the blinds shut all the time and the kettle was full of limescale so could do with a clean. The food in the evening and at breakfast I can't fault, it was lovely! All in all I will definitely stay again

Lovely village pub with friendly staff and fabulous food. Room was everything we needed for a night away.

Turned up to a empty carpark. Then realised it was closed mon and Tues. Could not gain entry. knocked on door. Called number supplied as there was no pre email advising me where to go, and abruptly told to go to the single door. Was met with a timid guy who advised me of room number. I had to ask what time breakfast was and the wifi code. He said there was no food, try another pub up the road. Drove there and found that this was too closed. Then found Queens head for dinner..... which had minimal food. Anyway, 6 bells...... bedroom was hot in room 4. bed too soft. Breakfast was nice with a choice of cooked options with a nice greeting from the chef, who had good cs skills.
