Liked the decor, staff very pleasant, good restaurant close by

Heating was on in bedroom at 22.30 which led to an uncomfortable night’s sleep!

The decor in this property is out of this world, totally over the top - we loved it! Our room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful. There is a very comfortable sitting room with books and a bar. The house is on a quiet, leafy street with plenty of on street parking. It is a short walk into the town centre. Derry is a fascinating place to visit, amazing live music in the bars. Highly reccomend the Bloody Sunday and Peacemakers Museums.

I would prefer to choose my breakfast in the morning rather than the night before and have a little more flexibility over times. The food was delicious but quite rich and I would have appreciated the option of fruit salad and muesli.

Everything! The people are friendly and helpful, the room gave us our best nights of sleep the whole trip, and the breakfast options were excellent. The house decor is dedicated to Irish poets, authors and other notable figures with little stories about each throughout.

Just the hill to walk to get up to it from the town.

We had a last minute cancellation of the accommodation we had booked in Derry because of flooding from an upstairs apartment and The Lawrence had availability. The location was alright for an overnight stay. The manager on duty arranged a discount for us at the local eating place. The breakfast was good, but not exceptional - I’ve never had to request a second egg with an English/Irish breakfast before.

We paid a high price for one of the better rooms - it was so small we were unable to accommodate our suitcases and ended up leaving them in the car. There were also several flights of stairs to negotiate. The staff were very keen to demonstrate their newly acquired “Alexa” - it’s been around for a long time in the rest of the world! Unfortunately, the WiFi was almost non-existent so, not only were we compromised communication-wise, but so was Alexa.

Onze kamer was vrij klein maar wel sfeervol. Het hotel is prachtig, historisch en erg mooi. Het ontbijt was kwalitatief zeer goed, uitgebreid en met meerdere keuzes. Voldoende gratis parkeergelegenheid op straat. Centrum, restaurants, pubs op 10 minuten loopafstand. Zeer vriendelijke medewerkers.
