"Excellent"

Beautiful and very quiet location. A comfortable, clean and nicely decorated room. The bathtub was very welcome after a long day of walking the Cleveland way. A very good choice of stay if you are doing the same.

This hotel is the best one we have ever stayed in. It was so peaceful, so beautiful. The rooms were exceptional and the building had such amazing character. You could walk in the woods or to the nearby beach and seafront easily. The whole area was stunning.

Maybe the only thing was a lack of surfaces to put things on in the bathroom.

"A Fantastic Country Retreat"

Being at the very end of a single track road, it was so peaceful and quiet, something I was looking for. The welcome was very warm and I felt at home straight away. The room itself was beautiful, very well appointed and spotlessly clean. The balcony attached to Room 6 (shared with Room 5) was a real bonus and I enjoyed sitting out reading my book with a cup of tea and just the sounds of nature. The peace and quiet extended into what is a dicky-dark night and I probably had the two best night sleeps I've ever had. The breakfast on both mornings were ample and very delicious. I now wish I had taken the Monday off work and booked a third night. Hooefully if I can get back I'll do that.

There wasn't a thing I did not like. The only thing I would mention is the turning for the single track road at the start of Lythe Bank is easy to miss (I did this twice) so just beware.

Jasmine & Blane were fantastic hosts... the location was perfect breakfast were superb... going back again soon

There was no lounge facility for communal relaxation esp when weather is bad

Ill be definitely coming back, we had a lovely time with my dog and just so magical! Hidden place, lovely place to walk around, very quiet and very close from whitby! We are definitely going back

A lovely old house with many original features, yet modern bathroom. Absolutely fabulous breakfast, cooked to order, and all local produce.. Lovely helpful host and fantastic location…quiet country setting, yet in the wonderful seaside village

Generally could be a little cleaner, and a sitting room would be nice. But overall a very nice place to stay

Beautiful setting and warm welcome. Room was comfortable and lovely balcony area. Breakfast was amazing.

Nothing that we didn't like..maybe provision of water in room when arriving or more drinks would be good. However i am sure these would have been provided if requested.
