Al-Dora Resort Hurghada

Very good stuff and very clean

Lovely place

We had all inclusive package and the food was delicious, 4-5 meal possibilities, chicken always, beef and fish/calamari. The room size was just enough and with nice see view. Although the Resort itself would require a little renovation, reparation, painting in my opinion, it was really comfortable and cozy. Also the staff - including everyone - is really amazing, helpful and supportive. The location is far from the busy places what we enjoyed.

The food was buffet style and plentiful, it wasn't restaurant standard but you get what you pay for and it was far from bad. The pool and other outside areas were nice and tidy.

I missed somewhere in the small print that the hotel did not serve alcohol, but there is a cheap bar just down the street. It is a bit of a walk in to town, but I didn't mind this and the local taxies are cheap. The hotel beach is a few minutes walk, but it is a nice area.

Very clean and good quality food. The stuff was so supportive all the time.

Internet in our room did not work. The guy at reception gave us access to the reception's one.

The staff was great and friendly. Mohamad Salma and Abdella in reception. Mohamad I service was excellent and made the best tea with milk and also chief Abdo Al Hassan with always trying to help a big smile. It's a very good value for money.

The beach was outside of the hotel but just 5 minutes walk.

If I could just rate the interior and cleanness of the rooms alone, this would be 5 stars. Really clean and well designed. WIFI. On several days I did not even use my Mobile because it was so good but on some days it would kinda be slow and not enough. If you don't work then this wifi is enough and they dont charge any extras for that. For Egypt it is really good quality.  BUILDING AND ROOMS. The rooms are really nice, all furniture is new and great design, kudos to whoever planned this interior. There are fridge, kettle, towels, toiletries in the room. New building overlooking a small street. No noise if you are a sensitive sleeper other than guards talking on the phone outside the building but when I asked then to be quieter around 11 pm - he stopped.

I am trying to be objective because my experience was pretty mixed and in some aspects very annoying.  1. RECEPTION. There were two really good guys at the reception, unfortunately I don't remember their names. The lady at the reception was not helpful, she just keep "EEE??" to whatever I asked her and then asked a colleague to take over form her so you have to repeat the same thing all over again. 2. SERVICE. Whatever you ask you will never get it.  I had to ask for water 2-4 times. When I arrived, I send all my clothes for laundry and they said it will arrive next morning. I asked 5 times where is it the next day. Nobody ever got back to me, I kept asking because I had nothing to wear. At 8 pm finally it was returned. They lost the top of my PJs and when I raised it the guy at reception got defensive and gaslighted me. Clothes they did not lose were clean though. Employees of hotel overall are very nice and smiley until there is a problem, then they act annoyed.  4. FOOD. There is a buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. That's it - no a la carte and there are no restaurants in the area so if you will need to eat out - you will have to go to city center. Food is okey, for this price I think it is really decent, but don't expect as much as in bigger hotels. There is a really nice shop called Pick and pack which has almost anything you might need down the street. 5. BEACH AND ENTERTAINMENT. I have not been to the beach so I can't judge but I walked around the area and there is not much. Just streets with stray dogs. This hotel is a building and has some common spaces but no outside area to walk around. There was a singer during diners, otherwise I did not see much entertainment but also I did not really explore to be honest.
