Arumasta Ubud

A good location central in Ubud, staff were friendly, free drinking water cooler at reception, small but nice pool area with some loungers and beanbags. The balcony was nice.

Hotel staff was friendly. Location was pretty good. 15-20min walk to center of town, royal palace etc. Many good restaurants within walking distance. It was off in a smaller alley, so pretty quiet, so street noise. Price was good. We hired a car with driver for couple days to go outside of Ubud, which were quite convenient too.

This is a very small hotel, with only 12 rooms or so. Very small swimming pool. We had a 2nd floor room, no elevator, so we need to carry luggage upstairs. The staff helped too. The room was very basic. There was a tiny step (couple inches) in the bathroom, which I tripped a couple times.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was very delicious. It was also great to book activities through the hotel.

The WiFi in some areas of the complex were spotty, particularly near the back of the rooms.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The accommodation was beautiful, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. It’s set within a family compound, which gave it such a warm and local feel. Every time we came or went, the family would greet us with a smile and a friendly “hello” or “have a nice day.” It was simple but made us feel really welcome. The reception staff were also great — always cheerful and happy to help. Would definitely recommend!

The one downside of our five-night stay was the noise during the nights. Unfortunately, we were woken up every single night between midnight and 3am by other guests who weren’t being quiet. The worst was on our final night when a group checked in at 3am — they were extremely loud, and I didn’t hear any staff intervene or ask them to keep the noise down. It came across as quite rude and did put a bit of a dampener on an otherwise lovely stay. For accommodation of this smaller size, I think there should be some rules around acceptable check-in hours — 3am felt far too late and disruptive.

Truly wonderful. Close enough to everything in Ubud but tucked away so you’re sleeping peacefully. Great and welcoming staff.

Gr8 location close to center and restaurants

The room was very clean and the location was perfect. I am scared from geckos so it was really nice that there were no geckos in the room, the staff even doubled checked for me. They were also kind enough to walk me to my room as there could be geckos in the corridors. I ended up getting sick and one of the staff got me camomile tea and fruits and even double checked in the morning if i needed another cup of tea. Highly recommended.
