Saturn's Return

Beautiful setting. Owners are a young couple who are very nice and helpful. Room was great with comfortable bed. Tasty breakfast. This is an excellent choice if you are staying on San Juan Island.

Absolutely loved this brand new B&B. It's a work in progress right now as they just recently opened it, but that in many ways made it even more charming. The couple that owns and operates the place are just the warmest and most accommodating people. Do yourself a favor and spend a few nights there.

Thank you so much to Emma and Wiley for a great stay at Saturn’s Return Farm! It was such a pleasant, quiet, peaceful place to spend our anniversary. We stayed in the main king bed room in the farm house with the beautiful vaulted windows. The conditions of the rooms and farm house are exceptional, and your rotating breakfast ideas were a fun start to every morning. The farm itself is a work in progress, but it’s very fascinating to see the plan in action, there is a true vision that you two will be building for years to come. The trail behind the property is a pleasant walk through lots of native vegetation plus the ubiquitous blackberries (not-native but tasty). The entire property is a great spot to watch birds such as swallows, mourning doves, starlings, hawks, vultures, etc. I think more than anywhere else on San Juan you’ve brought the true feel of living on the island to your guests, it’s a rare departure from the motel-tier lodging common in Friday Harbor. The farm is close to English camp, an alpaca farm, lime kiln state park, and San Juan county park, but everything else on the island is only a 15 minute drive away. We’re grateful that you shared your home with us!

This place is beyond perfect! The hosts provide just the right amount of interaction. They were very attentive yet gave plenty of privacy as well. The whole place is spotless and breakfast was delicious. The bed was very comfortable and although there were a number of guests there my room was very quiet. I hardly saw or heard anyone except at breakfast. If I could give 10 stars I would! The rates are very reasonable for the area as well!

I cannot recommend Saturn’s Return enough!! Emma and Wiley are incredibly thoughtful and communicative. They were accommodating and pleasant, even when we had issues pop up in our travel itinerary. Wiley greeted us as soon as we drove up to the house. The room was so adorable, and everything was clean and ready when we arrived! Breakfast was delicious in the morning, and we could even hear the roosters crow as we were eating outside. Bird watching and stargazing were fantastic as well. We saw everything from barn swallows to woodpeckers, and even a few red tail hawks. I highly recommend checking out the trails on the property too, especially during blackberry season!!! (Emma and Wiley even had take home containers in the dining room because they have truly thought of everything!) And don’t forget to take home some zucchini and squash if you’re local. The only thing we would change is staying for more time, so we could explore the property more! We can’t wait to come back soon. :) Thank you, Emma and Wiley for saving our weekend!!

Although this was a "soft opening" for the inn, and it was a little rough around the edges, we found our stay to be calm, peaceful and delightful. All our needs were met and we found the accommodations very comfortable. Emma and Wiley (the owners) were always available and were lovely hosts. We can't wait to return and see how the farm has progressed.

A new inn on the island, Saturn's Return is lovely. A beautiful setting on 42 acres, with walkable trails, farmland, and a pond, it's quiet, peaceful, and feels like a retreat. Hosts Emma and Wiley are kind and helpful, and the breakfasts were delicious. Fresh local foods, including those grown on the property. We especially enjoyed picking blackberries along the trail and stargazing at night. The location is excellent, near Lime Kiln, not too far from town, and also not too far from Roche Harbor. We stayed in two rooms, a deluxe queen with en suite and a deluxe king with en suite. The king was wonderful, with a stunning view across the field and a gorgeous view to wake up to. The queen was charming, with a view of trees and the stream. Though we were there during a heat wave, the large room had AC and a fan was provided for the smaller room, making for decent comfort despite the heat. Overall, a wonderful stay and highly recommended. We would certainly return, and we wish the innkeepers the very best of luck with their beautiful venture.

It is beautiful, the people are aware and kind.

We had an amazing time at Saturn’s Return. Originally we planned to do some riding around the island, but the location was peaceful, and the walks were delightful, so we ended up staying on the property most of the time. It was one of the most relaxing trips we have had in a long time.

It was very open and lots of space for being outdoors
