Kubu Gena Guest House Canggu

Entering the property felt like stepping into a pretty, secret garden. The room was super clean, nicely decorated with a comfy bed and nice linen. Cupboard with lockable drawer and safe were nice features. No mosquitos, which is rare in Canggu. Hot shower and free drinking water in the kitchen were great. Very friendly, helpful owner. Thanks for everything!

I had a wonderful stay at a Kuba Gene guest house in Bali. I stayed for 10 days in the September 2024. The room was spacious, clean, and filled with natural light, featuring beautiful furniture and white tiles. The mattress was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The internet connection was reliable, with speed test results showing 62.2 Mbps for downloads and 67.1 Mbps for uploads. The large glass doors opened onto a generous balcony, which was equipped with two chairs and a side table, perfect for enjoying the mornings. While the bathroom was clean, there were a few areas that could benefit from some improvements. The room was cleaned daily, and it included 3 towels (2 big and 1 small), a safety box and a closet with a key for added security. Bed sheets and towels are changed every 7 days. Additionally, the air conditioning unit worked well, and there was always warm water available. The house featured an open kitchen and a drinking water machine that provided both hot and cold options. The guest house is run by locals, with a friendly owner and staff. The yard was beautifully maintained and lush with greenery, and they have a dog and cats. The location of the guest house is excellent, among charming stores, cafés and restaurants. It’s just a 15-minute walk to Love Anchor, which is in the central part, though Canggu has good and popular stores and bars all over the place. During my stay, pavement was added along the guest house street, making it safer and more convenient to walk to the beach and the central area. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I highly recommend this guest house for anyone visiting Bali.

The bathroom could use some improvements, as it experienced issues with humidity and the presence of flies.

Small boutique kinda place. Convenience store out the front and a few restaurants and a pharmacy nearby. Not too far of a walk to other venues and easy to get a scooter or taxi from. Comfy bed.

My room wasn't very private, ground floor with floor to ceiling windows and a staircase directly outside. Couldn't just chill with the blinds open without other guests looking directly into my room. Would be better with some soft light blinds. Also no exhaust fan in the bathroom. No bin in the room.

Room was big enough, bright during the day. AC was working really well, hot water, shampoo and gel shower. Clean room, comfy bed, clean bed sheets. Very kind ppl at the reception ☺️

The sink in the shower wasn’t clean when I checked in (found someone’s hair there) My bad, I didn’t inform or complain about it, as I was just tired from a long travel. Also, the room was facing the stairs, so I was seeing everyone go up and down. Perhaps they could see me too. Not to be seen I had to keep my room with curtains closed all the time.
