Mountain Goat Lodge

The hosts were welcoming but not intrusive during our stay. The lodge lounge, eating area and patio was set up comfortably with views of the farm and mountains. Breakfast with home made biscuits and gravy, fruit strudel and fresh ranch eggs was delicious. Beside good brewed coffee they have an expresso machine and would offer a variety of coffee drinks. There is a well maintained trail that goes in a loop around their property with views of Salida valley. About a 35 minute walk. Their farm has hens, ducks, llama, cow, goats and their dogs. Would visit again if we are passing through that way. We enjoyed the suite on the ground floor that we had.

We loved our weeklong stay at this comfortable and beautiful lodge. My grandson Sammy enjoyed the spacious room with balcony, the tasty hot breakfast and dessert and the hospitality and kindness of the inn owners. We had a great time doing the trail on the lodge property with amazing views and the lots of animals to play with. We rafted the Arkansas River five times during our stay and relaxing in the hot tub every night. Thank you so much!

Amazing stay at this property. Fun atmosphere, great hosts, delicious food. So many options here to choose from, lodge, t-pee, glamping, Why stay at a regular hotel or motel when you can have a cozy experience at the goat farm!!

This place is amazing. The lodge owners Gina and Darcy are incredibly hospitable. The ambience is extremely friendly, the service was top notch and the breakfast was delicious (especially the home made biscuits by Gina). You can soak in a hot tub taking in the Milky Way and pet all the friendly goats and a cow as well as walk the property taking in the scenic views of the mountains. Everything was clean and the decorations in our room were beautiful.

I can't recommend Mountain Goat Lodge enough. We stayed for three nights in the Sawatch room (one king size bed, one queen sofa bed). Twice we had to leave early before breakfast for rafting and catching our flight home. Gina (the owner) made sure we had some waffles and fruit to go or a hot breakfast sandwich since we would miss her spectacular breakfast at 8am of homemade goat milk yogurt with fruit and granola, waffles, egg frittatas, and more. We have a 7 and 9 yr old and both loved roaming the property with the goats, dogs, chickens, ducks, llamas, one stealthy cat, and a cow. All the animals were super friendly (the "guard" llamas were a bit stand offish) and an animal lover's delight. The kids chose to stay at the lodge playing with the animals over going to the sand dunes. The room had two balconies and a wonderful view of the mountains and the back of the property. Everything was clean and in good working order. I hope Gina and D'Arcy keep the lodge going so we have a chance to come back in the future. I have already recommended this place to friends as a great stop in a Colorado trip.

The location is great for a fun, run around weekend. Miss Gina's breakfasts are incredibly delicious, and the cheese, chicken and goat classes were so informative and fun. Our room was great - took our dog and had a wonderful time! Darcy made a mean "State Fair" meal. Miss Layla and Suki, the canine hosts, were super smart and gentle - highly recommend a stay in this great location!

What a beautiful property and experience. The owners are very kind, hospitable and make a fantastically delicious breakfast from ingredients grown and bred right on their property.

Gina and Darcy were excellent, the property was amazing enjoyed hanging out and just chatting also loved sookie and Layla sad to go❤️

My son and I stayed in the tipi. It is a great experience. Gets cold at night, bring extra blankets. The owners are very personable and will answer all your questions. The animals are so sweet and friendly. There are many options of where to stay.

Our stay was superlative. The lodge is beautiful and comfortable and kept immaculate by the hosts. The hosts go out of their way to assure guests of a rewarding experience, sharing stories of their animals, who play a starring role at the lodge, cooking ample and individualized breakfasts, taking guests on scheduled or impromptu tours of their goat, chicken, llama farm. We also enjoyed the greenhouse where many herbs and flowers prosper. Our two days were restful and most enjoyable.
