Killeen Castle

The room was spacious and absolutely gorgeous. The property itself was pretty, but getting there wasn’t the easiest. I would recommend planning your route ahead of time. I typed Killeen Castle in the GPS and it took me close but not to the check in area - so then we tried to follow the signs and ended up in a back entrance and was able to make it to the where we needed to, it just wasn’t clear and we were kind of guessing. I was very disappointed in the “garden view”, I booked a room with a balcony and just be aware that the pictures shown are very accurate … while the description is not. The balcony looks out to a stone wall that surrounds the gardens, the entrance in the picture - is the only small section of garden you will see from your room.

The golfing was wonderful and grounds we amazing.

Beautiful quiet location for a restful short break - very comfortable small hotel with good restaurant attached.

Stayed in Rose Cottage onsite. Just lovely. Clean, quiet and comfy.

This is a great place to stay, in beautiful quiet surroundings. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There is a separate area for making tea, fridge, microwave and coffee machine which is shared by 4 rooms. The cooked breakfast was excellent. There was also fresh made pastries and scones.

Clean, quiet, and close to several historical sites, and just 20 mins outside of Dublin. Wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely stay there again when we return to Dublin.

The property was stunning. Very quiet and peaceful. Not walkable if that's what you're looking for. But you can definitely walk the grounds. Beautiful garden and castle ruins. Boys were able to get a last minute tee time. Planning to return when we can stay longer.

Beautiful countryside

I had a work trip in the area, and as I had my car, I was able to stay at the Killeen Castle. The Primrose Cottage was lovely - traditional style but with a modern finish. It's a lovely estate to walk around and the food in the Kiln was also lovely. Highly recommended.

Brand new and excellent in every way.
