ROOST Detroit

What an amazing experience. From the choice of restaurants to the best sleeping experience I have had in a hotel. The service was impeccable, the building itself is gorgeous, so much history. I will 100% recommend this hotel.

Greeting and service upon arrival was excellent, décor and ambiance was relaxing though professional. Room was comfortable and accommodating. Professional space was spacious, the exercise area is well equipped and modern. Overall a very nice place to stay, excellent location providing access to pretty much the entire downtown area, events, offices, restaurants, and shopping. Overall a great stay, I love the location. Front desk staff was exemplary

We had a wonderful staycation for our 10th anniversary. Rooms were spacious, comfortable, and spotless. The building is stunning and had amazing dining options. Staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. We are looking forward to our next stay!

My girlfriend and I came in for the evening to celebrate our anniversary and stayed for a night. We had a lovely stay, and the staff and accommodations were amazing.

This was my first time downtown in many years, since I live in CA now. I've read all about all the great things taking place and wanted to see firsthand. So when my wife bought me tickets to see the Lions I knew where I wanted to stay. The ROOST in the newly renovated Book Tower. Let me just say it was amazing! The apartment style room was 1st class, Bosch appliances, washer and dryer, clean and very well appointed. My only regret was we didn't stay longer. And it was only a short 10 minute walk to Ford field. Had dinner at Le Supreme and it was excellent, drinks at the lobby bar downstairs were excellent, service was outstanding! I highly recommend staying here.

Hotel was excellent. Beautifully decorated. Rooms were very clean, well apportioned, plenty of room, and very comfortable. Staff made you feel very welcomed.

My husband and I traveled to Detroit for the Free Press International Half Marathon and chose to stay at ROOST Detroit as it looked to be near the expo and starting line. The location of this hotel is just perfect that is close to the Convention Center, the Detroit River and a variety of restaurants within walking distance. As we were not familiar with the city, we asked the front desk lots of questions about places to eat and things to see. We found the staff to be friendly and knowledgeable. ROOST is gorgeous--a mix of the classic with modern amenities available. The Study, and Terrace are relaxing and useful spaces with the Terrace having fantastic views of the city. We are already planning our next trip to Detroit and this will be where we stay.

This was my first stay at a Roost hotel. Unfortunately, we were there less than 24 hours. I would definitely like to return to Detroit and the Roost hotel. Set on a well-lit boulevard, the area feels safe and walkable to area restaurants and sights. The hotel has blended the historic architecture in the common areas with modern, fresh interiors in the rooms. Everything was very clean. We didn't really use the kitchen, but it seemed well-equipped. All staff we engaged were very helpful and nice. Because it was dark and we were tired by the time we got settled in the room, we decided to have dinner at the rooftop lounge. It was a great. There is a nice terrace with fire pits, but is was windy so we chose to sit inside. It was super cozy, and the food (tapas) was delicious. The only issue we had on our stay was with using the valet and wanting to charge an EV. For liability reasons (and probably to use the ChargePoint app to pay), we had to be accompanied to the parking garage by the valet shuttle to plug in our vehicle. Our Tesla adapter was not working with the ChargePoint charger there (likely a problem with our adapter), so we ended up driving to the Financial District Garage (a short walk from the hotel) to use the Tesla destination charger there. It felt slightly sketchy, but we saw a security car patrolling the garage, and we had no other choice. We lost a chunk of time doing all that. With so many Teslas on the road, it would be nice if the hotel garage had a Tesla supercharger and if the valet could do the charging of EVs.
