ROOST Detroit

When I walked into the lobby and looked up, I expected elegance, first class service and an amazing experience. When I entered the room I expected the same thing. Unfortunately, when I sat at the lobby bar I was thoroughly disappointed. Thought the bartender Willy was personable and knowledgeable about the venue. He was out of place. It wasn’t his fault the Riesling was flat or that the blue cheese olives were premade, he tried his best. We figured the rooftop bar would be better but our hopes were crushed as the simple dirty martini wasn’t strained and the little floating bits of the dirty side of the order floated around the glass. We were looking for a little class and prestige and this trip fell short. On top of the above disappointment the Sonos Speaker in the room wasn’t discoverable but played random music and the sink didn’t drain correctly. Do you think Managment cares. If they respond to this review, they do, if not you all will see this might not be the spot for you. I hate leaving negative reviews but sometimes it’s necessary to get what you pay for.

The hotel is beautiful and the rooftop is amazing, but no one calls that out at check in! We got an upgrade to an apartment style rooms were beautiful and fully equipped! I was very surprised that for a 5 day stay we didn’t get cleaning services included and had to pay 50/day for cleaning and 50 for valet (that was was often late).

The quality of the rooms and amenites are top notch. The value is good although the walls are really thin and external sounds will keep you up all night, especially if you stay neer the stree floor on a weekend.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was beautiful and the rooms very comfortable. The food at La Supreme was excellent too.
