An unforgettable post-trek retreat—beautiful design, serene atmosphere, and exceptional service My husband and I stayed at Dorje’s for three nights after completing the Annapurna Circuit, and it was the best decision we made on our trip. From the moment we arrived, we felt deeply cared for—greeted at the Pokhara airport, welcomed with a refreshing drink, and allowed to check in early, which we really appreciated after days on the trail. The property is stunning, with thoughtful architecture and interior design throughout. Nearly every spot on the grounds offers a beautiful lake view, and the rooms are filled with intentional, high-quality touches. Everything felt fresh, clean, and well-maintained. We indulged in spa treatments that included access to the steam room and sauna before our massages—an incredibly relaxing experience. Since we were there at the end of May (the beginning of monsoon season), the property was especially peaceful, and we often had the pool entirely to ourselves. The staff mentioned that it gets much livelier around September and October. We also had the pleasure of meeting Dorje himself and hearing his inspiring story of building the resort after years in the restaurant business. His hospitality ethos is clear in every detail—from the delicious, fresh food at the on-site restaurant (we happily ate most meals there) to the genuinely kind, attentive staff who go above and beyond to make your stay exceptional.

My friend and I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Dorje Resort & Spa in Pokhara for two nights, and from the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. We were picked up from our previous hotel and warmly welcomed with refreshing drinks – such a thoughtful touch that set the tone for the rest of our stay. Though we arrived early, the staff graciously allowed us to use the resort’s facilities while our room was being prepared. To our surprise and delight, we were also given a complimentary upgrade to a deluxe room, which was absolutely stunning — beautifully designed, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. I celebrated my birthday during our stay, and the team truly went above and beyond to make it special. I walked into our room to find a lovely banner, balloons, and a delicious birthday cake waiting for me — it was such a heartfelt gesture that made my day unforgettable. The food and cocktails at the resort were incredible — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Breakfast was a real highlight, with a great variety of options to suit every taste. A special shoutout to Tilotama, the supervisor, who made our stay seamless and memorable. She was not only helpful and professional but genuinely kind and attentive, always going the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. Her warmth and hospitality made a huge difference and added a personal touch to our experience. I honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough — from the service to the setting, everything exceeded our expectations. I would love to return in the future.

It was a great place to get some rest, relax and recover. Pokhara can be reached by foot in 30 min.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Massage and Spa were relaxing.

Location is outside the town so renting a scooter would be more convenient to get into town.

An exceptional property, serene and calm, with excellent attention to detail. It was such a delight to stay here after our trek for a couple of nights recuperation. Loved the beautiful lake views, amazing comfy beds, lovely bath. Staff were very attentive and helpful, food was delicious. Really a top quality hotel - I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else if I returned to Pokhara

Nothing - some may say it’s set out of town but I see this as a great bonus to enjoy peace and tranquility.

We booked for 3 nights and ended up staying for 5 basically because it was top class experience…..the staff really go out of their way to make you feel at home, Dorje is very friendly and especially Lalita who was fantastic….rooms are enormous and finished to high standard……
